Newly diagnosed
Hiya all I'm 46 and just been diagnosed with endometriosis. I've always had bad periods and have IBS so I have always put everything down to that. However in April this year I noticed how much worse it had become and went to see my GP.... I had scan in September where they could see they endometriosis

Morning Back Pain
Hello, I have been suffering with back pain of a morning since I was a teenager. Back then it would come and go. It would only show up of a morning. However, the last 3 years, it's gotten increasingly worse. It happens every single morning now. It wakes me up at silly o'clock and does not allow me to

Hi, thanks for all the info here. I’ve been reading for hours, think I’ve tried to absorb too much too quickly as my brain feels like it’s going to pop! I’ve been feeling nauseous with low pain headaches for a month so had a GP apt last week. Bloods were done and all appears normal apart from thyroid

why is there a problem with my replacement aortic heart valve?
I had my aortic heart valve replaced 3 years ago and there is an issue now. The opening is only 0.7cm squared according to an echocardiogram I had done last June. I was told about this at my appointment today. A bit stressed about this and would like to know if anyone on this group has had the same thing

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism

Blood Pressure experience and views sought
Hi allI have been feeling ropey,v lethargic and a bit slow for a few months now, despite increase in Levothyroxine. I had attributed this to constant blood loss(months) following HRT which didn't suit me,however this stopped 2 months ago. Previous blood tests showed haemoglobin on the low side so have

HRT and migraines
I'd be interested to know if there are women out there who can definitely say that taking HRT has helped them with migraines. I know that the research says that there is no evidence that it helps, if anything, probably makes it worse. Or were you prescribed some medication for menopause and it actually

A letter has finally arrived! Trigeminy?!
I think the
valve
replacement
is back in the long grass as the LV regurgitation is around 50%.

Hi, I wonder if anyone can advise and apologies in advance for the long story! I consulted a private Endocrinologist and started taking Liothyronine in early October 1 x 5mg tablet 3 times a day. Aunt not following commands after waking-up
My aunt underwent a clot removal heart surgery and she woke on the next day, but the ICU staff are telling us that she is not following any commands. She is still intubated, because of this and will undergo a CT scan tomorrow. I wanted to ask: Am I expecting too much too early as I've seen some posts

does an rls friendly diuretic exist?
I have bad swollen legs which my GP thinks is caused by excess fluid It probably comes from a combination of my RLS medicines ( Pregabalin 250 mg and 2mg Neupro patch) plus a recent knee replacement operation. To get rid of this excess fluid my GP upped my normal 50mg Spironolactone dose to 75 mg.

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis. I've always had heavy periods with period pains that make my thighs numb and require prescription painkillers. At the age of 44 I had some symptoms of perimenopause and tried HRT. After two years I came off and that seems to have triggered a strong reaction

Should I have a hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis, but it is well enough managed on zoladex/Tibolone that I'm not having any significant pain and not bleeding enough that it is a problem, but I do have lots of more minor issues and my consultant thinks a hysterectomy would be better. I've got the op booked
