hello, I hope this is not an insensitive question. I’m waiting for a date for a colonoscopy and a gyne referral following 10 months of malaise with cancer flag bloods in February and ongoing symptoms of bloating, spotting, RHS side pelvic sharp stabbing pain, period like pain (61) and back ache, urinary urgency, fatigue, headaches, joint pain, inner thigh pain (odd I know) heartburn and so on. Dr has told me to stop HRT patches which are Everol conti use two a week. I feel dreadful already and wonder if stopping suddenly as instructed will bring a return if menopause symptoms.
I also have a chronic rheumatoid condition that cause brain fog so combined with menopausal symptoms and feeling unwell I’m not sure how I’m going to function.😟

Give it a try. If you feel really awful, speak to your GP again and see what can be worked out. I was on oral HRT for a while (I was pre-menopausal when I had my TAH-BSO surgery) and tried coming off but couldn't, then switched to a patch. The doctor at the menopause clinic is happy for me to stay on it for life - GPs sometimes are unaware that the risks of a patch are much lower and they look back at older forms of HRT. Hope you get some results (and hopefully some good news) soon.
I thought the same about the patches having researched a bit and I can always compromise and cut them in half for now. I only have enough to last until late December anyway but they will help keep Christmas time free of any murder in our house - I jest of course. I don’t feel up to menopausal sweats and moods with these other symptoms and my rheumatoid condition acting up all at the same time. Thanks for your reply and I see you are a singer so I hope you sing lots of carols this year 🎶
