Aunt not following commands after waking-up

My aunt underwent a clot removal heart surgery and she woke on the next day, but the ICU staff are telling us that she is not following any commands. She is still intubated, because of this and will undergo a CT scan tomorrow.

I wanted to ask: Am I expecting too much too early as I've seen some posts here where people were saying that it may take even up to several days for someone to respond to commands?

Any information from experience would be really helpful as I'm really concerned about that.

If she has had kidney/liver issue or has had dialysis - this can be an element that slows down our body’s ability to cleanse itself of sedatives and toxins and slow down how responsive we are in turn.

The pdfs on this link are really helpful
