Hi, I have suffered with anxiety and depression for over 27 years now. I have tried nearly every different medication. At the moment i am on two 5mg of Valium also 50 mg of Sertraline.

At this moment in time that i have no motivation, whatsoever. No energy! I have asked my Dr to increase my sertraline to 100mg. I have been getting a lot of pins and needles in my arms, fingers, and also legs too. Also am stiffness all over my body, mostly in arms, fingers, back, hips. My Dr gave me Voltarole cream..

I am at a stage that i do not even have the the energy to go for a shower, when i do i come out sweating even more. I am on patches for peri menapause, also I have sceatica, bursitis, asthma, no sense of smell due to a fall, diverticulosis. Now i have been also told i have had an ulcer, which i am on Lansoparole for. I recently found a lump at the right side of my breast, so i have to go to the breast clinic., to get it checked. Also booked in for a scan to see what is going on in my stomach, just wish that it would hurry up!

Writing this makes me feel like people shall think that i am an attention seeker, but i can aware you that is one thing i am not.

I wish my Dr would give me vitamins or tell me what ones to take instead of medication!

I think that since the Dr told me i had a thing called helekabacter, then said i have had an ulcer, it has made me worse. The not knowing. I am only 48 and feel like a 80 yr old !! Also the pins and needles , numbness is also worrying too. Hopefully when i get a scan and find out what is what i may begin to ease my mind a little. It is always when something comes up in my life that i get really stressed over, and my mood seems to drop a lot.

Hi Natalie, I’m so sorry you are experiencing so many physical problems and for such a long time. Not knowing what’s going on is the worst. I can totally understand it. Have you researched on your own about your symptoms? You might find a way to make your situation better. And understanding what’s happening in your body might put you at ease at least a little bit. My son was ill for many years and after researching nonstop I found a book that described his symptoms. I followed the instructions in the book and his health improved. I eventually took him to see that doctor and he is well now. There’s a lot of information out there. Just yesterday I watched a video where a Stanford psychologist explained how what we eat affects our brain in a way that changes its physiology! So much so that some mental illnesses come from our wrong choices of what we put in our bodies. Who would imagine it! We usually don’t make that connection. If you look for solutions you might find them, with your doctor’s help or without it. If you don’t feel better with medication, you have every right to ask for a different treatment and if your doctor doesn’t agree or doesn’t know what else to do, you can go to a different doctor. This is your life and nobody, not even your doctor will take care of you better than yourself. Be proactive instead of worrying. It has worked for me and it’ll work for you. I wish you the best and hope you feel better soon!
