Covid vaccination and onset of PMR
On 16th Dec 2020 I had my first
vaccination
. The following day I felt stiff and achy and a bit feverish. Thought nothing of it, but it went on and on and in fact was getting steadily worse. My GP was nonplussed but we both assumed it was an extra bad reaction to the vaccine.

Issues with GP surgery
On 30th March GPs were written to by the NHS to say that those who are immunosuppressed for various reasons including those on anti-TNF biologics are needing all adults in their households offered to be vaccinated too. These people are now classified as group 6. I have flagged this up with my GP and

. I heard a lot of bad things about this Astrazeneca vaccine but I also heard it is better than other vaccines for lupus patients. We shall see.

Do you want to know about the COVID-19 vaccinations?
With the help of healthcare experts, we've put together detailed information about how the newly-developed COVID-19 vaccinations could impact those affected by a brain tumour. It's not like the proverbial getting mauled by a polar bear and a grizzly bear on the same day, but one dead per 7 million seems close.
There must be more to this than has been announced by the CDC. It simply cannot be possible that the government bureau responsible for leading the nation through this unprecedented catastrophe because 6 people became ill, one dying, out of almost 7,000,000 people who received the J&J vaccine. How objective are you at self-assessment and how is this, my favorite study, relevant to Parkinson's?

Reaction to The Vaccination
He had the Astra Zenica
vaccination
and within 10 hours was showing signs of a fever. This brought on his first ever tonic/clonic seizure - it lasted for 5 minutes and was very distressing for him.

Vaccine reactions
In terms of heart activity , out of the nearly fifty respondents five reported some mild arrhythmia during the two days post
vaccination
although four of those admitted such activity was not unusual so may be unrelated.

Pfizer vaccine, pred and paracetamol
I got a call today from GP offering
vaccination
tomorrow. Yay! I recall I’m meant to continue pred as normal but I was wondering about paracetamol which I’ve been taking for a few days (operation on hand last Thursday, plaster off today and it’s a bit painful).

Vaccination!!!
Woohoo I’ve been done! After 24 hours the site in my arm became a little sore and I was very very tired. Muscle aches and pains. Had a poor sleep BUT as I was so pleased to have been vaxed it didn’t bother me. Best of all the T is no more intrusive than it was.

Vaccination -chase if no date
Had to go the the practice nurse today and whilst there asked if she knew what group I was in. She looked at my notes and was shocked I hadn’t been booked in due to meds. Turns out Because I get medication from HaH it’s not on Dr repeat prescription so they hadn’t noted I was group4 and rheumatology

Texas is my home and has my heart — so why can’t it use common sense and work harder to keep chronic illness patients like me safe
While Texas has been one of the few states that has opened up
vaccination
for people like me who are under 65 and immunocompromised — #HighRiskCovid19 folks — vaccine administration has been severely disrupted because of the storm and power crisis last month.
