I do try and put a little humour into my postings but today there will be a lack of it .Brain fog ,residual pain, irritability, discomfort ,stress, not sleeping ,still shaking, weak and still very breathless at the slightest exertion but I'm finally home .Home is such a short word that doesn't really do it justice.
Yesterday (11th) i had my first covid negative test,I came home Thursday but was still showing positive tests, im really glad I had my inoculations otherwise ........ well you know .
The day I was discharged my bay was turned to a cpap ward as more and more people were being admitted and the designated cpap ward was full ,covid is going nowhere yet im afraid.
On a sad note bert from bert and Ernie ( previous post) sadly passed away his daughter was allowed to be with him at the end.
I hope everyone stays safe its still out there causing havoc so protect yourselves at all times .
Sending everyone my love x

Glad that you are back home soulboy but sorry to hear that you are still feeling so unwell. I think we would all agree that this virus is going nowhere. Hope your convalescence at home will have you gradually improving. Best wishes xx
I can empathise, I went through that myself, you will feel better eventually, it takes time. Just rest up and try to sleep a lot and not to overdo things.
It's good to know you're home at last, though I'm sorry to know you're still feeling so poorly. I hope you start to feel better soon. And I'm sorry to know about "Bert" That's really sad.
So pleased you’re home now Dave and please take it easy. Give yourself time to recover. A negative test is great and thank goodness for the vaccine ensuring you’re still here.
I’m not shocked about things changing on your ward because covid is rampant.
Very sad that Bert passed away but at least he had his daughter with him.
You stay safe too dear friend. The so called freedom day is our cue to stay home. Proceed with caution everyone.
Love to you too, Carole xxxx
Sorry about Bert, Dave, and the fact that you are feeling so bad just now. But you sound to have turned the corner and are on the road to better things. Just focus on getting yourself better. My very best wishes to you.
Glad to hear that you arrived home, where you can heal properly, it will take time but you will get there. Just rest eat well and take your time. Best wishes 🌺🌺🌺🌺
That is wonderful you are home and to your own home comforts.Take things easy, your body and mind have been through a trauma with covid, and it can be quite overwhelming.
So pleased to hear you are back home Dave, take things easyget plenty of rest and eat well. So sorry to hear about Bert, but he had his daughter with him at the end. .R.I.P.Bert. Hope you are fully recovered soon but it will take time. Have a good day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
So pleased you are home and that your dodgy lung buddy friends didn't have to mount a daring rescue attempt. Now you are home you will feel thrilled to be there but probably knackered please take care of yourself.
Hi🙋♀️ there @soulboy118 and just reading your post and the member's replies- it's quite clear that everybody is willing you back to "health" and I'm certain that means a great deal to you. A very hard, long and often lonely time to be in 🏥 for anyone. You've done so brilliantly to get yourself well enough to go home but you don't need to be reminded(but here I go with the reminder!)All you were told in 🏥 you must continue at home and I'm hoping you'll have some help etc? So best wishes and take your recovery nice and slow and steady. 🐿🌈😷.
I hope that bit by bit you will recover completely and will be firing on all cylinders...well as much as us in the dodgy lung brigade can do.
Sorry to hear that bert passed away ....its strange that thise brief encounters made during times like being in hospital touch our lives. So glad that he was with his loved one at the end.
