Covid & Flu Vaccinations
Can anyone please tell me if you have had both the flu and Covid vaccinations at the same time please. If you have did you suffer any worse side effects from having them at the same time? I have both booked at my GP's but am not happy to have both together as I think this is a first time it has happened

Rituximab is the mainstay of my treatment for Waldenstroms.1st treatment was Rutuximab on its own; 1 infusion per week for 4:weeks. I had mild headache during the first infusion but otherwise no adverse effects. Can take up to around 5 hours. I'll pass on the prepping because I think its variable from

Covid vaccinations
https://www.england.nhs.uk/who-is-at-increased-risk-from-covid-19/ This lists people with LD as at increased risk from Covid. So why are poeple with LD excluded from having Covid vaccines this autumn? Most especially when their death rate from Covid is 3 times that of the general population?

Should I vaccinate? A formula to help you decide.
I found this formula which helps you to decide whether you should get vaccinated. I’m not sure how useful it is since you have to be able to estimate various probabilities accurately, but at least it provides a framework. I haven’t yet worked out whether it says I should get vaccinated or not: REMOVED

I haven’t had a Covid booster since November 2021 (I missed the second booster last November because I had a bypass). Hi good people, I’m 5 mos into Acalabrutinub and finally WBCs are coming down, but still pretty high. It’s time for a flu vaccine and soon the next Covid shot will be available. And there’s the RSV vaccine! I’m wondering about my response to any vaccines at this point in my treatment. My onc says to

Reduced prednisolone - rapid onset of discomfort but ? PMR or coincidence - what dose next?
No major reaction to the vaccine, just a bit weary on Saturday and a large swollen itchy bump about 2" across at
vaccination
point. That's much improved today.

I also had my pneumococcal
vaccination
yesterday so my arm ached a bit. Although cloudy and 14C when we left the house, it soon blew off and heated up, but the cool NE wind was gusting 28 mph. It was nice and quiet along the prom as I headed straight into the wind.
