10th spinal fracture….
I had my 10th spinal fracture just before Christmas. This was probably the worst as it affected the sciatic nerve in both buttocks. The pain from the fracture was excruciating made worse from the pain from the sciatic nerves. Long story short. Had a MRI at A and E and the spinal surgeon told me the

Update – surgery tomorrow, then on to Xeloda
Hello all – hope that the new year is finding you all on a good journey to healing and wellness. I unfortunately have been in and out of the hospital for 21 days with seven new MRIs as they are trying to discover the root cause of my back pain and inability to walk. In addition to the extensive bone

Well after trying hard to ignore heel and hip pain since Christmas I decided to make an appointment with the physio. Went yesterday and after a very thorough examination he decided I had Achilles tendinitis and my OA of hip wasn’t helping it he also felt my age old back surgery was affecting both.

Mixing medications
Apologies if this is a well repeated question, but not sure how to search for old posts where l’m sure there is an answer! Does anyone know of a good site where one can search for drug interactions? Have tried the pharmacy which is okay if you can get them to answer the phone and I won’t start on problems

Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Hi, wondering if any of you that have had the Ivor Lewis surgery have had heart issues post surgery? At 3 years post surgery I started having atrial fibralation. Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a cardiac ablation

Stopping artovastatin for 2 weeks ( Nstemi and quadruple bypass July 2023)
Had a visit to GP surgery yesterday for a cyst removal and mentioned how rough I had been feeling for the last month . The doc went through the list of side effects of arvovastatin and I ticked 6-8 of them. He agreed that I should stop for two weeks and see if anything improves and then discuss other

Seeking Advise
Hello fellow Parkies I am in dire need for some advise regarding the dosage of my medications. I am in my 7th year since diagnosed with Parkinson's and I have for most of the time been on Madopar (200mg of levodopa and 50mg of benserazide). I started of with half a tablet 3 x per day, later increased

Bowel or endometrioma pain?
Hi I'm hoping someone can shed a bit of light on my pain. I have endo in lots of places in POD on ligaments and my bowel.I also have a 5cm endometrioma. I am down for surgery for hysterectomy as I have adenomyosis and endo extraction. I've opted out of a bowel resection as the waiting list is longer

Update on Earlier Posts about my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

update!
Hi guys, I posted a few months ago about my laparoscopic diagnostic surgery. They didn’t find endo however I was convinced that I had it regardless. I took all of your advice on getting an opinion, and I am now seeing an endo specialist instead of a general gynaecologist and wow you can tell the difference

SAR Form
Does anyone know about this Subject Access Request form or SAR? I have had some blood tests done, and the surgery now says I need to fill in the above form. In the past, I have always gained access to my data when I call into the surgery and ask for a print-off. Not sure why they're asking me to fill

Bisoprolol And Asthma
I have recently seen a couple of posts about taking/not taking Bisoprolol if you have asthma, but does that relate to those inhalers containing Salbutamol sulfate I have been taking 5mg of Bisoprolol twice a day for the past 12 years. (Paroxysmal Afb) plus the same of Ramipril and Doxazosin. Some

Nasal Polyps
I had surgery to remove nasal polyps about 7 years ago and afterwards was told to use a nasal spray Fluticasone to help me from having anymore. So far so good but lately my pharmacy has had a problem of obtaining Fluticasone therefore my GP has suggested Beclomethasone instead. I have used this spray

my cancer comic…
I’m a graphic designer who has done autobiographical comics for around 16 years, mostly about medical stuff (detached retina, thyroid surgery, a bad fall, gallbladder surgery…). Late last year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Just my prostate and some pelvic lymph nodes at this point, and awaiting
