I had an appointment with the Orthopaedic team this morning. I had a very thorough examination of both wrists, hands and arms. Also an ongoing comprehensive two way conversation regarding my history, pain, problems etc. At the end he said, I think doing any further tests or conduction tests would be a total waste of yours and our time. I'm completely happy that you have intense and severe bilateral CTS and I will now be referring you for surgery. An interesting day. So it's now a wait and see and wait for the appointment to appear in the app.

Well at least a decision has been made, maybe not be what you really wanted to hear, but hopefully not too long a wait, and then relief..
Indeed, I think I had resigned myself to what was becoming more and more inevitable. Seeing the doc on Tuesday re my high Cortisol levels and it will be interesting to hear their thoughts on the matter. One way or another it's been an "interesting" couple of weeks.
Mine came through straight away and was done done within less than a month! I am in Leicestershire
Wonder how long it will take! Mind you, once you have moved, the wrist agonies might improve????
Where are you going?
I’d say that’s good news…my husband had his done, day surgery, & there was immediate relief, & very quick return to normal. He had no waiting, but this was a while ago now!
I've had both my hands done about 15-16 years ago at separate times one after the other and both in the day surgery unit...this was all before my PMR emerged and showed itself which is when I realised it was all linked ..both were very successful and I've never looked back ..
