Hi 👋 I have been on this and other sites heping when I can ,my cardiologists have started me on Dronedarone since I stopped amiodarone after CHF acute severe left ventricular pulmonary edena and had to have a pump insertion aid for a while and after a few medication changes started getting my heart back to a level that I had the pump removed.I am taking quite a few talets every day that I know i will be on indefinitely which I found quite difficult to accept at first.

I go for all the usual scans and bloods and I was on warfarin for a while where I had to go get checked every fortnight or so then I was put on apixaban and it all seem to stop,I still go to all my other appointments but I suppose its the same for a lot of you.

Another change along the way changing my carvedilol and amiodarone knocked me way off where I ended up back in cardiology so it was put back the way it was ,which was fine ,but I was on amiodarone then it was stopped and I was getting AF so I have a monitor inserted which was very painfull but necessary and now I am on Dronedarone where I am the only person in my surgery that is taking this ,it started I was visiting the hospital every week for while to a bit of a carry on to get my GP to take it on ,it seems be OK for now is anyone on this medication also?as I think it is the long term (well longer term)amiodarone that I understand is supposed to be short term?thanks and I am always here for anyone who needs advice of I can help I will!!

Good luck Brian, Just follow your Specialists advice to the T . They have the experience within all these medications ,

Don’t be shy to email them if questions . You will sort it all out and even out . Overwhelming to start with. Keep looking for folks on here with same set of conditions and meds. It is very helpful . 👋
