GemCarbo and picc line advice please!
Hi ladies, I've seen my oncologist today (well, one of his minions anyway) to find out about my treatment plan for my first recurrence. They've told me that I'll have gemcitabine with carboplatin this time round, so I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about this regime please? Even though carbotaxol

Epstein's Opinion vs New Uro's
Hi folks, I had Epstein give me a second opinion on my last biopsy, which was at the end of 2022. The original pathology report stated the 3+3 diagnosis was upgraded to 3+4, but didn't give any info about percentages of G4 cancer. Epstein cleared that up stating there was less than 5% G4, but there

Success stories
Hello I was diagnosed with Gleason 3+4 in January and had surgery - clear margins and clear lymph nodes but worried and have a lot of anxiety about recurrence. Any success stories out there? Please share as I am so scared of my first PSA test in a few weeks. Thanks

I had a flare up at the end of Jan which I didn’t recognise as a typical flare up. Did NOT start as a typical cold/sore throat & turn to chest infection as normal (so I’m still not entirely sure what it was, although doc said bloods suggested viral/bacterial). Everything became very tight / dry in my

Mistery therapy: Gastrin-releasing peptide receptors s target for PCa
I will have to dig deeper to find the 4 clinical trials mentioned, but here is the text "Each tumor has its own distinctive molecular identity. Treatment, therefore, should be tailored to this unique cancer phenotype. Theragnostics uses the same compound for targeted imaging and treatment, radiolabeled

Cough After Eating
This is the most recent episode of my mum’s PSP, she barely chokes, now we are dealing with after a meal cough, she coughs few mins after having her meals(different meals). I got her a cough syrup that helps after a while. Has this happened to anyone or experienced this, any solution? Her next appointment

Infections like pneumonia and sinus. Lessons learned.
I’m saddened and sorry for all those who have been suffering from pneumonia and respiratory infections. Been posted of late. As a physician who knows better, I wish I’d followed my on advice to do ALL of the following 1. Test right away for COVID 2. Get a complete viral nasal swab to be tested

Recurrence?im scared
I don't know where to start because I'm scared to death. I already made a post about my situation but I need to talk more about it with people who understand my situation. My mother, my beloved mother... my reason for living. In 2020 she underwent surgery for stage one seromucinous adenocarcinoma
