A brief question on corticosteroids
Hello everyone, apologies if this post is somewhat irrelevant, I've been looking around here for somewhere to post a questions I have about a drug called prednisone. I decided to post in this group as I understand prednisone is sometimes used to treat lupus, and so people here might be able to give

Advice
Four weeks I suffered with terrible back/stomach pains, which at the time I put down to constipation/trapped wind. Yesterday I started with bad stabbing pains in my lower back, it was painful to pass wind, and agony to go to the loo. I started with really bad period pains, and was getting sudden urges

NHS tests that may help diagnose adrenal issues
A few people asked what tests my endo ordered in order to find the root cause of my adrenal problems. The ones that are different to the normal lifter function, bone, urea etc. are Heterophile antibody - a test for Epsten Barr Virus/glandular fever. IGF-1 - IGF-1 may be used with other pituitary hormone

Low t3 but what do I do about it?
My t3 is 317 (ref range 800-2500) in a 24 hr urine test. But what do I do about it? I have been taking Nutri adrenal extra and thyroid complex for 2 months but it obviously isn't enough. My energy is low, really tired, feeling hopeless about the GP, who said my thyroid was fine (TSH in the normal range

Phosphate urine test - probably a long shot, but..
Hello everyone I've got low phosphate and I'm currently taking phosphate sandoz. My specialist has arranged a 24 hour urine phosphate test for this week but I haven't been given any instructions and he is on holiday just now. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this test and if they were told

Feeling Ill - afraid it could be serious
Hello, I've been feeling pretty ill for the last two weeks. I'm a 22 year old British student living in Spain, with no serious health problems, and all of a sudden I start to feel cold and confused one night when going to bed, my nerves firing like mad, with tingling in my hands and feet, moving up

Hello ladies. I am waiting for a date for my first lap. One of my many symptoms is that I am continuously constipated and can only pass tiny stools that look like small pellets. So tired I feel like I can fall asleep all the time
I have Fibro, Rheumatoid and Oesto. My rheumatoid doctor thinks something else is wrong but not sure what. I have a cyst on my thyroid that is unconclusive. Went to see an endo who had no notes on me just a blank piece of paper and a letter of referal from my doctor. He thinks it is not thyroid related

24 hour urine test - not much urine?
Hi all, I was feeling a bit better on the levo 75mcg. I took it together with 1mg iodine a day. When my latest blood test showed the thyroid was now optimal I stopped with the iodine. I believe this was a big mistake because since then (about 4 weeks ago) I'm slowly feeling ill again and symptoms come

Fuss Fuss Friday and the mystery of the disappearing urine sample
I am virtually daily, really enjoying the sun in my garden, I am still panting loudly, most days on exercise machines and making various neighbours snigger. I do half my exercise out there, and only stop if it rains. Today after my 25 minutes, I then ended up on all fours rampaging through the undergrowth

Anti sickness tablets ☹
Well, it got to 8am this morning, and I decided to ring my Drs, again, due to my severe morning sickness! I wasn't given anything last Friday when I was last seen as I was still relatively hydrated and still trying to eat! But I lost half a stone over the weekend, and I felt like it got a lot worse!
