NDT in the UK
Ok, so I am a little confused (doesn't take much š ) I happened to mention that NDT isn't licensed in the UK on a FB group I am on for RAI and Graves disease. A lady in the states said its now "legal" in the UK and posted a link to the Thyroid UK website which states this: American and Canadian brands

Are Food supplements worth a try?
Hi all, I have recently been hospitalised with an endo flare requiring a significant amount of opioids to help with the pain. i have read online that omega 3, turmeric and ginger root supplements are good at acting as an anti-inflammatory and are helpful in relieving long term chronic pain. I

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers for my little girl. She had her surgery (ear tubes and adenoid removal) yesterday morning and all went well. She was so incredibly brave and strong! Even got an IV inserted pre op (which isnāt commonly done for little kids). Her adenoids

Hi, The general advice to eat āhealthyā for good cardiovascular function sounds sensible. eg less saturated fat and salt; more green vegetables; kale; spinach; berries eg blueberry; alcohol in moderation - especially red wines with resveratrol (antioxidant) eg Malbec etc. (In fact, alcohol in moderation

withdrawal from carbminazole
hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what advice you have. I was diagnosed with graves after a bad bout of Covid with super high levels and was very unwell. Put on high dose of carbminazole and now down to 5mg- 4 times a week and have normal bloods for quite a while now

Oncology ENT referral
At the end of June (25th) I started to have terrible ear ache. I tested positive for covid a couple of days later. As soon as I was negative, I went to the doctor. My ear canal was incredibly swollen. I got an antibiotic and anti fungal ear spray. It didnāt go away so I got another course of the spray

Apologies for the long post (my first) and thank you if you manage to get to the end of it. Bit of history first (there's more in my bio), after 7 years of being bedbound with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, I was finally prescribed combination T3/T4 in 2018. I hadn't had my bloods checked since 2019

SOB relief
Hi, I'm new to this site, in my mid-60's with bronchiectasis and an FEV1 of around 40%. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of being given something like a mild version of oramorph to relieve the discomfort of ongoing dyspnea, or at what stage that becomes possible ? At the moment I have to use

Kind of new here
I've had horrible anxiety and depression for years and lately discovered I have heart failure along with a bunch of other problems. Doctors say I'm too young to be having these problems and don't fit any of the (so called) profiles but that doesn't make anything better. I think they mean well but saying

List of sympathetic Endochronologists?
Hi I had RAI and currently on T4/T3 combo. I have been getting a private prescription from my GP for the T3 as in 2018 she said our PCC wouldnāt fund it. She is now retiring and my new GP wants to refer me to an Endo to discuss the need for T3 as I have possibly been having heart arythmia recently

Don't take Tylenol (acetaminophen or paracetamol) if you are using any kind of immunotherapy
It may increase regulatory T cells and PD-1 expression, which stop immunotherapies from working. It also changes the enzymes responsible for drug metabolism, and may cause drug-drug interactions (also a reason to avoid supplements when taking other medicines). https://ascopubs.org/doi/abs/10.1200/JCO
