A quick update for old feckers like me.
I can not recommend this program highly enough; I hadn't been running for 40 years or more but I absolute love it. I started in May and just keep repeating each run/week until I feel comfortable to progress. I run/jog/walk two/three times a week and have lost over 1/2 stone in weight, lost several

Come off Warfarin
Hi , I have Occipital neuralgia which is agony . The problem I have is that the can give me the correct medication to treat it because if the warfarin , my gp suggested changing to a NOAC anticoagulant . I was just wondering who of you who aren’t on warfarin what do you take and is it as affective .

I have permanent AF without obvous symptoms - should I take up an offer to have catheter ablation?
My first post here. As my profile says, I have had permanent AF for a long time but it is without obvious symptoms. I dont seem to have the kind of problems that many of those with AF suffer from - I have no trouble climbing stairs or with other activities of normal living. I have been running most

different ADT medications
Is there any known difference between the various ADT injection meds in terms of efficacy and side effects? My dad's new oncologist is switching him from Lupron to Trelstar, not sure why. Just haven't seen that name come up too often on this site. Thanks

Carotid artery sore/swollen
Hello all, I was wondering whether anyone has a swollen and sore Carotid artery in the neck when feeling yuk with hypo symptoms? My GP is sending me for a scan but as the problem seems to link with my feeling exhausted etc. It occurred to me that it may be an autoimmune reaction. I look forward to hearing

4-and-a-bit-month Post Ablation Update
So, I've been posting this to help all the sport loving folks out there see what they might expect post-ablation. So just after three months I began to feel much better - I'm now doing all the weight-training, yoga and pilates I was able to do before. I can also walk up to five miles with little problem

TUBERCULOSIS AND TREATMENT
Hi all, I have been diagnosed with pulmonary TB. After months of struggling I finally am seeing a difference with medication. I still have a long way to go with the medication. My question is why do I feel so tired. Lately I have been sleeping more and eating less. I can only stick to one meal a day

Raised CAN levels.
Hi, Anyone been told this before.? IPF diagnosed in February but recent blood tests have shown up raised C-CAN levels and further tests now required. As an avid Googler this may point to Vasculitis which is a new one on me. Any advice or guidance would be very much appreciated. Stay safe 👍

Rituximab
Hi has anyone been having Rituximab alongside Cyclophosphamide pulse infusions? This maybe my next course of action as I have just had my 5th cyclophosphamide infusion & there’s some improvement in my skin but not with my ILD. Many thanks.

Layman's PTSD
PTSD, emotional feelings of wide range, are sometimes experienced without perceptive cognition by individuals having been subject to inappropriate circumstance. PTSD, more prevalent & widespread than previously acknowledged or treated is endemic. Abuse/trauma associated with PTSD, subject individuals

•EDIT•Ptsd and dissociating• my perspective on me not knowing how think logically while mid panic.
Edit•I know I need to be mindful. I re read this and realized Im coming from a place where I am feeling very misunderstood and un-seen and unheard. And very afraid to trust. I’m going to leave this here though. Because I do panic and get frantic myself... this is a good awareness skill for me. I seem

Hospital in the end!
Hi all. You may recall I posted a couple of weeks ago about feeling ill and not knowing who to turn to. In the end, I had no option but to call 999. My O2 kept dropping to 70% and I felt so ill. Off to the Royal Derby Hospital. I cannot fault the treatment and care I received there from start to finish

AIP Diet & Hughes Syndrome

I have GCA since end 2018 . Am on prednisone and Actemra since 2019. We now have Actemra 200 mg inj alone available where I live . So then is it ok to take 200 mg instead of the standard 162 mg injection ? Anyone who has done this ? TIA

Amlodipine side effects
I have been taking amlodipine 5mg for around 6 months with no major side effects. Doctor increased to 10mg last week as BP had crept up. Side effects have been unbearable with a constant headache and extreme sleepiness! I’m like a walking zombie! So for the last 3 days have reverted back to my 5mg
