I was wondering whether anyone has a swollen and sore Carotid artery in the neck when feeling yuk with hypo symptoms?
My GP is sending me for a scan but as the problem seems to link with my feeling exhausted etc. It occurred to me that it may be an autoimmune reaction.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

That's an interesting question, Sarfran. I have been having problems with blood flow in my neck at night if I sleep incorrectly on my pillow. I noticed my brain function deteriorating over a short space of time at the end of last year and couldn't understand why. My right ear and neck beneath would be numb in the mornings. I visited my GP who arranged an MRI scan (which was cancelled by the scanning unit because of the way the GP had written my symptoms). Whilst waiting for the subsequent and pointless appointment with the ENT specialist I had boiled down my problem to reduced blood flow, brought on, as I say, by sleeping on my pillow incorrectly. When I say incorrectly, it would have been correctly in times gone by, but clearly the pillow was now pressing on my neck and reducing blood flow. How or why this should happen I can't understand. Blood generally flows ok through arteries, surely, even if there's slight pressure on them?
