Waking up gasping for air when first falling asleep? Help!
Why is this happening to me? I had a near head-on collision with a wrong way driver on the interstate in June and haven’t slept well since. It was a terrifying experience and brought back many memories of nearly dying a few times growing up. I was kidnapped in a foreign country at 8 years old. I was

confused about options
I’m currently on 4 capsules of hydrea a week and my platelets are now at 583 which is ok with both my local hematologist and my MPN specialist at Stanford. I have no symptoms, am 77 and was diagnosed in January. They immediately wanted me to go on daily hydroxyurea but I refused. Things look good on

NOAC - should I take? which one?
Tendency to AF - without other symptoms. HR rises - then drops, often within seconds. Say 170 down to 85 and back up and down repeatedly. Watched a full screen live monitor and could see what was happening but absolutely no change to how I felt at all. No obvious change by lying down or sitting up.

Anyone Used Pascoe B12 Depot (Hydroxy)
Hi Guys and thank you all for all your help in my previous posts.... Has any one used Pascoe B12 Depot and did they notice any difference to Panpharma (Rotexmedica) Depot Hydroxy? I know it is stronger and there is only one different ingredient to Panpharma being Sodium Chloride instead of Sodium

Getting an MPN specialist as advised by Hunter and experience of GasLighting
Firstly, thank you to Hunter for all the support he has given me and always telling me I need an MPN specialist. I now report I have done this and am very pleased. I live in Northern Ireland and could not find an MPN specialist here. I therefore decided to email Professor Claire Harrison at Guys Hospital

Does Probiotic help with bloating
Hello everyone, wondering if anyone has used a probiotic from a British Company called “BetterVits” it has good reviews but is expensive. I. Prepared to pay if it gets good results. £60 for 3 bottles of 30 or £40 for 1 bottle. They do give a 60 day money back guarantee. The tables contain Lactobacillus

Anyone with Aortitis have mid-back pain?
Hi, I am a newbie here. I have been diagnosed with extracranial GCA because a PET scan showed FDG uptake along the aorta "concerning for aortitis". I have no cranial symptoms and no joint issues so I am skeptical of the diagnosis, especially since other imaging for GCA was negative. The odds of a 62

Ureterolysis
Hi there, I had my first operative laparoscopy recently and have obtained a copy of my surgical notes. As well as adhesiolysis and excision of endometriosis (in various forms, e.g., helium plasma coagulation and left sidewall resection), I saw this: [i]Ureterolysis with freeing of ureter for retroperitoneal

Zumab
I just watched a show about cancer treatment. I didn't catch the doctor's name. But he's one of the first to use immunology to treat cancer. He patented a monoclonal antibody. I've seen a lot of drugs recently all ending in umab or zumab. These endings are specific for human or mouse-derived

Hydroxyurea and sleep issues ?
Hi, Has anyone had any sleep issues while taking hydroxyurea? I've been taking one (500) a day for about 9 months. I'm experiencing interrupted sleep at night. Sleep a couple hours, wake up, sleep an hour wake up etc. Wondering if the Hydrea could be causing this? I take the pill at 10:30am.

Another positive beta-2 glycoprotein but numbers have dropped since last test is this normal?
just had my 4th positive beta 2 glycoprotein test. Went in to see the rheumatologist and he said well thats good its dropped from the last test (but its still not in normal range) so no action required because I've never had a blood clot. He has never once asked me what are my symptoms and surely
