Delayed Lynparza (Olaparib)Reaction
I started Lynparza (Olaparib) on 5/19 (PSA 172). By 7/5 (+7 weeks ) my PSA was 222 and it was decided to discontinue the drug, get a port, and prepare for chemo. At the first chemo appt on 8/10 (+12 weeks), the blood test showed that my PSA had fallen to 194. The general literature says you evaluate

Update on PSA spike after radiation.
A quick update. Was diagnosed April 2023 PSA of 9. Had Cyberknife in November. 1st PSA (at 60 days was 11.96). This alarmed me. They told me to wait another 6weeks and test. Today it was 9.1. I'm considering this a win for now. Am I wrong?

some not great news/ still a lot unknown
I’ve posted before about my first introductions to prostate cancer: primarily significantly increased PSA yr to yr (3 to 6+). Did the EXODX urine test and score came back 25.9 out of 100 (15.9 being the cut off to keep from proceeding with biopsy, so I figured I’d at least need to do that. ) Finally

Cavernous Tumor & Rising PSA
My husband had triple therapy with docetaxel (finished chemo in January), darolutimide, and Firmagon/Lupron. Recently he developed what seemed like a sinus infection but was really a tumor in his sinus cavity and behind his eye socket wrapped around his carotid arteries on the plate of his skull (

Help, bad Decipher results, this changes everything, please advise (NE WI area but will travel)
Hi everyone~ I just wrote recently but this Decipher test seems to have up-ended our lives. My husband, 75, overweight w/Watchman, was dx'ed late Nov. w/what was originally classified as Favorable Risk Intermediate after random biopsy; we went to a urologic oncologist out of Froedtert in Milwaukee

Surgery vs SBRT Cyberknife
I posted this in the Advanced PC group and shouldn't have, as my Hubs is not in an advanced stage. Posting here in hopes of more input! I apologize if you are in the other group and have already seen this! Hubs diagnosed 11/15/23. 2 of 12 positive. Gleason 6 and 7. PSA 3.7-4.2. Met with Surgeon first

biopsy - fragmented cores and progression risk
I had 3 biopsies from January 2020 to July 2022. The first two almost identical being Gleason 3+4 with <10% 4. However 6 months post HIFU it was Gleason 9 with 4+5 with 10% 5 and 70% 5 (see below). I am curious as the cores are fragmented and so it’s hard to know what this means and if it makes any

Update: PSA after IMRT
After my 40 treatments, I wanted to get off the bicalutamide I had been on for 2 months. My breasts had not only gotten enlarged but they had also become quite painful, and the Tamoxifen my RO had put me on did not help with this. He then ordered an early PSA test, and when it came back at just .12

new to methotrexate: will my MTX fatigue fade or continue?
I'm just a beginner here, having received an RA diagnosis in December on the basis of blood tests (I have no joint pain or problems, but my blood markers agree with the RA diagnosis; elevated RA and anti-CCP). I also have three other diagnoses: PSA (psoriatic arthritis), PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica),

I doubt you will ejaculate any more more then you then you already have this because during surgery they destroy part of the mechanism that makes you ejaculate retro grade ejaculation is a myth it does not go backwards it was made up bye surgeons to cover up what they did doing any kind of exercise

Surgery vs SBRT Cyberknife
Hubs diagnosed 11/15/23. 2 of 12 positive. Gleason 6 and 7. PSA 3.7-4.2. Met with Surgeon first, "slow growing, non aggressive" he believes is contained by looking at margins and pathology. Met with Radiology Oncologist, "favorable intermediate risk, non aggressive" he believes it is contained. Both

Orchidectomy vs ADT
For anyone who had the bilateral orchidectomy, I would like some advice for my husband. When was it done? Before or after BCR occurred? What are the side effects? Do you take any other ADT meds after? How is your QOL and is there anything you'd do differently. He had RP in Dec 2021. No other treatment

Is retrograde ejaculation after TURP surgery reversible?
I've had retrograde ejaculation every since having had TURP surgery for BPH in Sep 2021. I recently started doing kegel exercises, having read that it may help reverse retrograde ejaculation. Has anyone tried this, and have you been successful? For the first time today since the TURP surgery, I noticed
