Elevated D-Dimmer

Dear all,

I would like to ask a question about elevated D-Dimmer. My father is waiting for the Cabazitaxel treatment. Due to some difficulties in getting the therapy he is with no therapy since April. His last round of Docetaxel ( 8 in total).

However, his d-dimmer is started to get elevated. He has been using Xarelto, but in the last 2 weeks D-Dimmer went from 3600 to 4500 and we started Fraxeparine 0.4 , 2 times a day. He is 90+Kg of weight.

Unfortuanately after 7 days his D-dimmer is 6000. He continues to use Xarelto 20mg but is there anything else he could be taking so we can check with the doctors.

His PSA in April was 145, but now it is around 95. Even though he has no therapy since April.

Have they checked him for blood clots in his legs?

Yes, and he doesn't have any blood clots.

However looks like AST and ALT got elevated, they are AST 93 and ALT 90. He has been using Ibuprofen 600mg a lot, so that could have done some damage to liver, will cut on using ibuprofen that often.
