Medical Oncologists recommendations at Mayo Phoenix

CancerConcierge profile image

My husband is being treated for high risk prostate cancer at Mayo, Phoenix.. GL 9, PSA 46.6 ( almost finished with Proton radiation treatments, on Orgovyx and will be starting on Zytiga.

He has had one consult with a Mayo MO , but it wasn’t a good fit.

Would be grateful if anyone who was treated at Mayo in Phoenix has a recommendation for a MO that they worked well with.

Thanks!

i was with Alan Bryce. For almost one year. He was easy to talk to and work with but has left Mayo and I have not heard who will take over caseload.

Dr. Parminder Singh has taken over at least some of Dr. Bryce's case load. Dr. Bryce was tapped to head the COH research facility purchased by CTCA. I think his new work date at the COH facility is 11/6.

Interesting...sounds like Dr Singh may be swamped!

Many of the responses to my question are mentioning Dr Bryce...I'm sorry to hear that he has left Mayo.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

My husband was seeing Dr. Bryce, who left Mayo and he has not been assigned to another MO as of yet. Not very happy about that. It's been quite awhile.

Interested in if this is an update? He informed patients that his start date would be 11/6 in some emails about 3 weeks ago.

His start date may be 11/6 however he told me in an email that he would start seeing patients in Dec.

He's been at COC for quite a while. I'd guess there was some kind of delay because in other emails from early October, he told other patients his start date would be 11/6. Everyone is ready to run to him. I hope he's ready. I have a bunch of spouses in a FB group who are waiting, waiting.

Keole is an excellent RO there. I was very impressed with his knowledge and candor. If I wanted an MO at Mayo Phoenix I would ask Keole for recommendations.
