This week I received an Email from Professor David Nutt also from our Manerva ;] Buprenorphine in the form of TEMGESIC 200mcg is available from your GP also I suspect Norspan patches which is buprenorphine dosing starting at 5mg. Buprenorphine is a very superior drug it hangs onto very few receptors

Erleada without ADT?
Had IMRT to prostate and pelvic lymph nodes in Dec 2015. PSA in August 2019 was 0.15 but dramatically rose in August 2020 to 2.42. Previously been through 3 short cycles of ADT between 2012 and 2016, with intolerable effects on my QofL. With my rising (but still low) PSA, I've been thinking of asking

any thoughts about Davallia formosana for PCa?
My curiosity is based on: Emerging Therapeutic Activity of Davallia formosana on Prostate Cancer Cells through Coordinated Blockade of Lipogenesis and Androgen Receptor Expression https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6694/12/4/914/htm Brief except from summary: "We further showed the potent therapeutic activity

High blood pressure and ectopics
Is there any association between ectopics (PACs/PVCs) and high blood pressure? I noticed my blood pressure spiking on a few occasions when I was getting ectopics. Or could it be because of anxiety associated with the ectopics? I dont have a history of high blood pressure and its normal most of the time

Nervous about Axumin MRI results
RALP 4/14; ADT & IMRT 2-3/2016 Low PSA but doubling every 6 months: 0.5; 0.8; 0.18 Plus severe lower back & cervical pain. Only after I pressed him, did the urologist order the test, which is tomorrow. Uro also dismissed my saying it is time to get a medical oncologist! Wonder what would be next steps

Just an update on this journey
In July, after 28 months of ADT, I asked if a vacation would be appropriate. Side effects of ADT have been significant, and since PSA has remained undetectable for over 2 years, I really want to try to feel like a live human being again. Exhaustion, hot flashes, and generalized muscle loss have been

Wrist pain with Losartan?
I’ve been on bystolic for close to ten years. Recently my doctor added 50 mg of Losartan and my left wrist has horrible pain since starting. It feels like the pain you get from being too cold. Anyone else have this? I am supposed to return to work in a week and I desperately want and need to

Just finished first meeting with radiation oncologist. What he proposed as next steps
Given my PSA of ".38" 22 months following robotic radical prostatectomy and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin). I have my first call with a urologist from an academic hospital

AA query follow up
Many thanks for the replies to my recent post. All helpful. I’ve spoken to the rheumy and been prescribed risedronate. Rugger has been taking this with no bad effects so it looks good. Btw, on the phone consultation I mentioned I had a slight headache. It’s really nothing much and a slight jaw ache

familial hypercholesterolemia
Hi all I hope you are all coping OK with everything that's going on at the moment. I was doing OK with my cholesterol levels until I stopped smoking and it went from under 5 with no meds to over 6 and a big weight gain so put on meds, I had my routine bloods done and my liver function was of skew, I

Cholesterol and thyroid test results
Following on from my post 4 months ago - my GP agreed to raise my thyroxine dose to 100mcg and see what happened to my cholesterol. I feel a little bit better for the raised levothyroxine but still get very tired in the afternoon and evening (basically only have any energy in the morning) and still

Frequency of PSA Tests?
Hello all. I love you guys, but I figure while my PSA is undetectable, I’m going to take a break from this forum and try to get back to some level of normalcy, psychologically and emotionally. There will be plenty of time to read up and plan my next course of action when my PSA returns. Hopefully that

rise of bg with LCHF
I am using LCHF diet already 4 years. It worked well, but during last 2 months I have often higher bg before lunch in spite of eating the same breakfast each day. Today I have 6,9 mmol/l (125 mg/dl). Usually I have between 5,6-5,9mmol/l. What is cause of such rise of bg ? Not food but may be less

Magnesium Chloride Flakes for RLS?
Hi all! I was trying to find out online if Epson's salt baths could work for RLS and I found something far better: Magnesium Chloride Flakes. Many people try Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salts) for pain relief but according to what I read, those who use Magnesium Chloride Flakes ultimately find longer lasting
