Indapamide
Have just started Indapamide. I already take losartan 50 mg. Have been prescribed 2.5mg, but at the moment am splitting the pill and taking half each day. Am finding this has already brought down my bp a fair bit, but for now I would rather not increase my side effects by going on the full 2.5mg. Does

Ramipril and Nattokinase together
I've been taking a low dose capsule of ramipril for about a week. I've also ordered some Nattokinase for my blood pressure as I'd rather go down the natural route if at all possible. Does anyone know if it's safe to take both at the same time? I'm scouring the Internet for answers and I can't find

Meds don’t suit me
Hello I am female aged 62. Took Bendroflumethiazide for a few years for slightly high bp which settled at between 142/78 and 158/85. To try to stop the consequential and irritating need to go to the loo frequently the doc changed me onto Ramipril 10mg. Over the next weeks my Bp crept up and has stayed

Broken my shielding
Well I haven’t seen family since lockdown and haven’t been out of the house since January but the last two days everyone has been. My husband collapsed and there was no way I can manage him on my own so my family as well as sorting out the medical side of it came and did all the practical things.

Brachytherapy, IMRT, Nanoknife or Active Surveillance
Hi I recently obtained a second opinion from Professor Stricker, NSW, Australia. I’m in Tasmania. Active surveillance now for a little over 12 months. Sought a second opinion from second urologist mentioned above. Professor Stricker stated that due to 80% volume in two core samples and 5% in one

Interesting report on the efficacy of IMRT on prostate cancer
An 8-year study comparing the results of various cancer treatments concluded that IMRT is equal to or in some cases superior to other treatments such as brachytherapy and surgery. Among the numbers mentioned were: "Men with localized prostate cancer who are treated with external-beam radiation therapy

Has quitting smoking and not eating sugar and salt snacks fixed my High Blood pressure?
Hi, I am a 50 year old male. I have been on ramipril 5mg for 7 years. I quit smoking a year ago, and I recently stopped eating any sugar or salt snacks. I have noticed my BP has been been alot lower as of late , such as 116/64 to 128/74. The other thing I have noticed is my Heart rate seems to have gone

Bone Mets or Arthritis?
Hello all, I’m increasingly confused about how radiologists differentiate between PC bone mets and routine degenerative changes like arthritis. Bear with me... My husband’s initial CT scan on 8/19 stated “Lytic lesion is seen in T7 as seen on the recent bone scan. A lytic lesion in the right L5 vertebral

CYSTATIN C
I would like to know if someone has tested Cystatin C. I have no health issues other than higher creatinine which was at 1.95 last time and Cystatin C was 1.63. I got blood test now and creatinine is 1.85 and Cystatin C 1.46. Thus I find that Cystatin c has dropped more than creatinine. Any ideas
