Another BFN, When to give up?
Hello all, I’m 40 years old and have now had 4 rounds of IVF/ICSI. Despite always producing a good number of eggs for my age (42 in total over 4 cycles) we’ve only had 4 transfers with 3 failing to implant and the only 1 that worked ended in a MMC at 9 weeks. I’m 8dp5dt (4th transfer) and I’ve tested

day 11 after egg transfer… negative test
Hey I’m feeling upset & sad at this point as I’m due to test tomorrow but I started yesterday afternoon with brown discharge which I think is my period. I did a test which was negative yesterday afternoon going to ring the clinic this morning. It’s my first round of IVF, I’ve not been that positive

why is first beta so high
hello I am confused and want advice from other ladies. My last period was 30/4 and my cycle is 20-30 days usually. For about 3-4 days i felt really nauseous and boobs hurting which is rare for me for period so I did a pregnancy test and it was positive 😀 crazy by default as we just had a failed ivf

Hello 👋 I hope all you wonderful people are keeping well as can be with this journey. I'm back again! A little about my story. We tried for 3 years to get pregnant but we were not successful, then diagnosed with unexplained fertility but at the start my husband had a morphology of 0.5% which made it

Donor egg conception - egg bank vs fresh donor waiting times
After failed rounds of IVF and years trying to conceive a sibling, we’re now considering the donor egg route. We’re still doing one last round with my own eggs, but trying to have a Plan B ready as I’ve heard waiting times can be very long. We’d like to do it in the UK so the donor is identifiable

**sensitive birth of my baby girl **
I just wanted to share that my little miracle IVF baby arrived at 38+2. We ended up having to have an emergency c section and a prolonged stay in hospital but she’s absolutely perfect and totally worth it. to everyone on this journey don’t give up hope. I never thought I would ever be writing this post

Share your experience of private fertility treatment in the UK
Over the years, we have had quite a number of members who have had experience of IVF. Some of these posts have been very concerning - e.g. ignoring substantially elevated TSH, GPs unwilling to co-operate with IVF clinics re thyroid hormone dosing, etc. Today, the Guardian is asking for experiences

No period after ovulation!
Hi all, TIA for reading and super grateful if anyone can help! I had my 2nd failed icsi cycle in march followed by the usual post cycle bleed, then tracked my ovulation the next month which showed I didn’t ovulate until day 23 but then started my period on day 29 (?!?!). This month I’ve been tracking

Does anyone actually get a bfn then bfp on oftd?
When someone tests early after ivf transfer people say it’s too early & there’s still hope. Does anyone actually get an early negative test that changes to positive on the official test day? Is the official test day the equivalent to what would be the first day of missed period?

Period pains in early pregnancy
I hope its ok to post this here.I've been lucky enough to concieve naturally after another failed attempts at ivf. Of course we are shocked and over the moon. Its only been 4 weeks since my last period so this is so early but I've had bloods done that are positive. I had a misscaraige with my last pregnancy

Ectopic and 2 failed IVF
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. I haven't seen many posts that are similar to my story, so I thought I'd share in the hope of helping someone out there. In Dec 2020 I discovered I was pregnant, just before my 37 birthday. At 6 weeks it was discovered it was ectopic and I had a fallopian

Embryo quality question - okay to transfer but not PGT-A?
hi all, We have just had our egg collection for our first IVF cycle - 11 collected, 8 fertilised. We planned on having PGT-A done on our embryos (hopefully there are some!) and then a FET once results are in. Background - We had a TFMR at 14 weeks last year due to Downs Syndrome, natural conception

Lack of fertile cervical mucus....why
Hi guys, Just a quick one - I used to get a fair amount of egg white cervical mucus just before and a little during ovulation but I swear for the last few months I've had absolutely 0 cervical mucus, like completely dry. I did have a lap/hysteroscopy end of April but this was happening for a few months

BFP but paranoid
hiya, Our second round of IVF was successful and I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. How does anybody get through the week until an early scan. My only symptoms are exhaustion, bloating in evenings and swollen boobs. Other than that I’m normal. Is it normal to feel this worried about what is going on

5th BFN 😭😭 what next
Morning everyone. Sorry I'm not coming with better news. It's 10dp5dt and I've been spotting for 24 hours and full period arrived this morning. First response shows negative. I haven't even cried. I just expect it now. Would love some guidance on any next steps so I've set out a brief overview of my

proxeed vs pregnacare
hi everyone I’m about to run out of proxeed (recommended by ivf doc) but I’ve just checked the ingredients and they all look the same more or less as pregnacare which is £6 per box vs £33 or something? has anyone checked in detail what the difference is?

NHS delay first IVF cycle
So, my period arrived today (meh). I was told by my NHS clinic that when this happened I needed to call up and book in for a AFC scan to get the treatment process started. Only when I did this today I was told the clinic was too full and I had to try again next month!! I mean, what the actual? This process

Tummy troubles and IVF
Hi Probably a TMI post - sorry about that I have had tummy troubles for years off and on, my family have a lot of IBS on both sides, we all suffer from anxiety / low ebb.
