hello I am confused and want advice from other ladies. My last period was 30/4 and my cycle is 20-30 days usually. For about 3-4 days i felt really nauseous and boobs hurting which is rare for me for period so I did a pregnancy test and it was positive 😀 crazy by default as we just had a failed ivf in March and last month we had sex twice.
this morning I went to do a beta test and was
3610.96 mIU/mL
which is insane clearly because how can I be that far ahead.
my question is is there any other reason whether (good or bad)other than it being multiples that beta is so high?
that makes it so I’m 4/5 weeks when I’m clearly not as not even a month past since last period

hey 👋🏼 congratulations lovely! So if your period was 30th of April you are 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant today (goes by the date of your last period as day 1). At ~ 5 weeks my HCG was just under 20k so I think this is a very normal reading for where you are at. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 🌸🤗 xx
but I always remember low numbers in beginning (beginning being now as hcg rises now and I would be expecting period today) so that’s why I’m confused. Anyway perhaps I’m just in dis belief because I don’t know how to handle the good news well but only the bad which is what I’m used to! Thanks for advice x
I can totally understand the nervousness 🤗 test day is usually 10-14 dpt which is just under 4 weeks so if you had a reading of ~200 HCG blood test then by the following week (where you are now) with rates doubling or more within 4 days that number would be over 3k like you are now and within a week over 20k as it starts going up quickly at the early stages. It really does look very normal lovely 🥰 xx
Hey there. As others have said, you are now a bit over 4 weeks pregnant, and that is a normal HCG level for that time, going into your 5th week. You're now in your fifth week, and you may have ovulated on the early side and implanted on the early side, and so the upper limit of HCG for the fifth week is 8,245 mIU/mL.
Yeah, we're used to seeing it with IVF, when it's like 8-10 days after implantation. But you are probably more like 20 days after implantation or something like that, so it grows exponentially.
