independent fertility advice any suggestions?
Hi everyone, Hope you’re all ok. We have just completed our second round of IVF ICSI which was unsuccessful. Our clinic is advising that we just do the same again. I don’t think that’s the best option as we’ve done the same protocol twice and hasn’t been successful. I want to speak to a specialist who

cramps and spotting 4dp5dt
Hi Everyone, I hope your all holding onto all the positive vibes whatever stage you are at. I am 4 days past our 5 day embryos transfer, it’s our second go at IVF as the first failed after a 3 day transfer. I’ve started spotting a little pink discharge and my tummy is lightly cramping, which feels

Shocking turn of events and I'm terrified- reassurance appreciated
Hi - sorry in advance for long post!I've had a really shocking turn of events this week (I'm normally on the other forum) and hoping I can get some reassurance. The context is that I've been TTC for 5 years and have tried IVF multiple times. Had an early natural miscarriage back in 2020. In 2021 for

Preparing for 2nd cycle
We have just had our first cycle of IVF/ICSI. Unfortunately this failed with a chemical pregnancy and did not get any frosties. We will have our review appointment with the consultant in due course. The nurse has said it will be 6 months before we can try again. Is this a standardised time scale or clinic

Follicle Numbers
Hi everyone, I have just started the stims for my first IVF cycle. I had my follicle count today and it was much lower than my last (8 & 4) I wonder if the number of follicles in folks first scan at the start of STIMS always ends up the same at the end or can I grow more? sorry I'm just a bit disappointed

In need of some hope 🙏🙏
Hi, I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant via ivf with my 5th embryo transfer. Have previously had multiple losses via natural pregnancy and ivf. Last night I went to the loo and had a little pink/red blood on the tissue about the size of 50p. Since then it has just been brown spotting only when wiping. I've

Ivf through NHS
Hello everyone, I'm 39 years old, nearing the age limit, and thinking about starting IVF treatment with the NHS. Can anyone provide an estimate of how long it might take before we could begin the process? I turn 40 at the end of the year, so time is a factor. I would appreciate your advice on this matter

SSR today - just looking for other experiences
Hi all, my husband had his surgical sperm retrieval recently in the form of TESA as well as biopsies. They found sperm in a few different places but plenty of good sperm from the biopsied tissue. We got a total of 8 vials to be frozen which they said is good news. We don’t really know what this

Genotropin Human Growth Hormones
Hello good people, The only available human growth hormone in my country is Genotropin by Pfizer. Has anyone ever used it as a HGH to improve egg quality in IVF?

5 mg Folic Acid supplement during early pregnancy
Hi dear ivf warriors, I have been taking 5 my folic acid a day months prior to my last cycle. I am now pregnant (still early days) and continue taking 5 mg in addition to multi vitamins. NHS do not advise 5 mg unless you know of specific risks / predispositions. I also read that there were some inconclusive

Endometrioma and IVF
Just wondering anyone that has had endometriomas and IVF how big they were to continue with IVF? I have had 2 opinions from two hospitals so feel confused what to do! 1 has advised to have the cysts removed and then go straight into IVF whilst the other is reluctant to do surgery due to my AMH but

Unusual discharge 2 weeks before IVF
Hi everyone, After my first IVF cycle I developed a type of discharge that looks like thrush but has none of the other signs (no itchiness, burning, odour). This tested negative for candida and everything else at the GP twice, and tested negative for all strains of candida tested by the Invivo vaginal

Struggling
Hi everyone, I'm struggling to come to terms with not having my own child. I'm soon to be 42 and I'm in a same sex relationship of five years. My partner has an 11 year old son from a previous relationship, conceived via a sperm donor, at home. We both initially wanted another child and both wanted

Good morning I'm currently 8 eight month down the line since having a miscarriage & at last 6 months since my partner & me made the decision not to do anymore IVF due to age factor & finance. Do we have to have a laproscopy?
Hi all, I've been referred for an emergency laproscopy for my pain. I suspect endometriosis. But the bigger Q is: do I need the surgery? I guess yes if it can remove the endometriosis and relieve the pain, but is it necessary for being treated for pain? I feel like I need a diagnosis to be taken seriously
