hi everyone ,

I have a relatively deep defect from my c section deliveries which I do think is the reason behind my failed ivf transfers . I’m having a biopsy taken in a weeks time to check what’s going on . If anyone has any experience of this please reply or pm me . I knew there was a reason for it . Always trust your intuition! Feel glad to have a reason but now worried . Apparently the wall between my bladder and my uterus is very thin aswell . I’m assuming from my c section . I don’t need surgery apparently but who knows , It looks to be a very under researched area .

Lots of love ❤️

Hello lovely, this was exactly my situation too after my little boy in 2021. I had a successful transfer in October 22 but sadly ended in miscarriage (likely the embryo which was untested) but my clinic always thought my c section niche (defeat) could be an issue (always had fluid accumulation during first part of FET whilst taking oestrogen). I then had two failed FET with euploid embryos last year. After speaking to my clinic and a specialist I then decided to have surgery in October last year to repair the niche. I was getting fluid each time - the progesterone mainly dried this up but it basically creates a toxic environment. The surgery was done privately and I waited 3 months. I then switched to a natural modified FET (so progesterone support only as think oestrogen I was taking was creating more fluid). I am now 9 weeks pregnant so I think the surgery made a difference for me but see a specialist to determine how big your niche is and whether they would recommend surgery.

Good luck. Feel free to DM me as I have done so much research into c section niche xx
