Pain Better on Foods

Hi, Im from the U.S. I dont know about the other states, but in Wisconsin you will have a real difficult time getting any drugs for pain anymore, unless maybe you just had surgery, then still your pain meds are limited to a short period of time. I had chronic low back pain. I also had a TKR last April. I had bulging disks in my neck and back via MRI report, but they still would not give me pain meds. They said take Ibuprofen. Im also a Veteran, but the VA is the same way, not giving out pain meds anymore. What this has done is to force me to find alternative methods to relieve pain. I use Diclofenac for a topical pain reliever, an arthritis medication which is like Ibuprofen, microwavable hot packs, ice, and food now. I changed to a plant based diet. No meat, dairy or white flour and my pain now is much better. I walk when I can too. It is nice not having to depend on narcotics to get through the day. I had been on hydocodone, tramadol and some I dont recall now. The truth is they wore off real fast and more was needed to get the same pain relief. Now, my body is making its own pain reliever. Just wanted to share my experience. I know this doesnt work for everybody.

That's fantastic news.

You are proving what new research is showing--- that painkillers are great for short-term post op, but inneffective and actually counterproductive for the long term .

There is also a lot of research into the danger of inflammatory foods.

Being careful about what we put into our bodies is only sensible.

Glad to hear u r getting some relief. Unfortunately I raise my own beef ( all natural ) and LOVE it, but the other stuff Im gonna look in to. Thanks bunches for ur info. Hope u have a good day !
