When is surgery necessary?
Both drs I've seen have said I need a
total
hysterectomy
. And they may well be right but I can't help thinking: 4 months ago I was fine. The problem is the cyst. I don't have painful periods. I don't have bowel or bladder problems. I don't need to worry about fertility issues.

Has anyone had HRT implants? Would love to know your experience and where you’ve had them done please
Hi ladies, I’m wanting to have Oestrogen and Testosterone implants as I don’t absorb transdermal HRT. It’s my only option left as I have dreadful menopause symptoms since my hysterectomy. As far as I know they’re not available on the NHS so I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a private clinic/hospital

Another Laparoscopy? Help!
Hey so some of you may know me and my story. For those that don't here's a summary; I'm 37, I've been diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2017 through my diagnostic lap, the specialist performed an excision around my bladder and uterus (stage 4). In 2018 I had a planned further excision of endo from my bowel

Would appreciate advice on these results
I am new to the forum and the diagnosis so would appreciate any advice. In May this year I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's after my antibodies test came strongly positive. Then found out I have a thyroid nodule with two times indeterminate biopsy so recommended lobectomy. My latest labs (did them at

what do the different parts of my iron test mean?
A short while ago, I read a brilliant description from one of the admins (I think) explaining what all the different parts of the iron panel (serum iron, tibc, uibc, transferrin saturation, and ferritin) meant and how to interpret the results. I thought I’d saved it, but can’t find it so wondered if

DIO2 Homozygous CC
I got the test results from Regenerus today and I am homozygous CC which means 'CC infers a lower than average response and that tri-iodothyroxine (T3) perhaps should be considered'. I saw my new Endo for the first time very recently (Saturday) and he increased my levo dose from 93mcg to 100mcg, re-test

IRON results help please
Last year thanks to some good advice from radd and others, I was able to have an iron infusion which really improved my life. A year on, I have had the full iron panel again and my iron has dropped back to 22 from 33, and my ferritin is still way high. My GP has summoned me by email as he has

General Anaesthetics for Pulmonary-Hypertension patients
Hi there. I'm new to this community. I've just been referred to a Pulmonary-Hypertension consultant by my Cardiologist as my latest Echocardiogram says I have "intermediate probability of pulmonary hypertension", along with "moderate mitral valve regurgitation". My question relates to General Anaesthetics

Hypo w/ High Ferritin
I've been Hypo and have had high Ferritin for years and to date, there is no answer as to whether the two are connected and if so, which is primary and or secondary. I take 3 grains of NDT (recently increased from 2 grains) because I did not do well on T4 only treatment. At 2 grains I was still symptomatic

Ferritin level information
I have seen numerous claims of “check your ferritin level, if it’s <100 you need to start taking iron.” Unfortunately, it’s just not that simple. That guideline has not been established. I have confirmed this with my RLS physicians. He said ferritin level is only 1 component used along with transferrin
