Women are not taken seriously by most doctors when experiencing health problems.
I went through a really rough time a couple of years after I had my first child when I was about 31 years old. I had never experienced PMT prior to the birth. I was lucky. However, I became aware of gradual fatigue, and anxiety, and hot flushes. I went to my GP to ask if I could be going through the

Do I need to stop taking estrogen? Feel as if I'm choosing between mental and physical health.
So I've read a lot now- probably too much. From what I can gather from things (and I am new to this - didnt know I had endometriosis until Tuesday when they aborted my hysterectomy as my bowel is fused to my cervix) estrogen seems to be the driving force behind endometriosis. Is that true? It also seems

Over range copper and zinc
The only culprit I can think of is milk thistle. Any thoughts on over range copper and zinc? About a 10 months ago, zinc was low-ish and copper slightly over so I supplemented zinc for a short while but stopped a couple of months ago. Then the week before last started with milk thistle for liver support

Can anyone offer some help regarding my Ferritin levels for my RLS please.
Hi! I'm after some support and recommendations please. I started running as my BP has gone into high range. Unfortunately, shortly after, I started to get RLS at night. I don’t know if exercise and RLS are linked, but I need to continue to exercise, to help manage my high BP and Hba1c. Unfortunately

Another! GP appt. Tips for making the best of it please?
I posted on Monday about my experience of not having my low but still apparently "normal" vit B12 etc levels not taken seriously and ignoring the fact I have a lot of symptoms of pernicious anemia (I've also posted on the PAS forum, but there are far fewer people on there). https://healthunlocked.com

asymptomatic APS?
Hi, I was diagnosed with APS in 2020 prior to a surgery as an incidental finding. I am going in for a hip replacement sooon, and they repeated the tests and confirmed the diagnosis Questions: could I remain asymptomatic? what should I watch for? Help!

think I’ve found my trigger.
I have posted on here before asking for advice. Have always suffered on and off but the last 18 months have been awful. Saw a dctr last year who just gave me sleeping tablets, saw a dctr a few weeks ago who gave me pramipexole but after reading on here and other sites about the side effects decided

blood results
Hi all, hoping for some help! I was sent for an mri for consistent blood results suggestive of pituitary issues. It revealed an empty sella. I was referred to endo/neurology. They did tests - no problem with my pituitary. I had consistent blood results showing very low TSH with low/mid level t4 and

Blood results, what do they mean?
I now have my full blood results:- Ferritin 67 (previous 50) Transferrin saturation index 64% (previous 48%) Se Iron 35umol/l (previous 25) Can someone tell me what these results mean? Can Sue/Joolsg shed any light on these results after 3 months of iron?

Sciatic type pain following knee replacement
Hello all, I had a total knee replacement 3 weeks ago and since then I have had a constant pain emanating from my lower spine and across my buttock. It’s worse when lying down. Has anyone else had this after TKR? I’m hoping it’s just upset muscles rather than true sciatica.

Osteoarthritis / Bone Edema / Injections / Hip Replacement
HI, I'm 45, I have been managing Osteoarthritis / Hip Bone Edema for 2.5 years. Pain has increased steadily over the past few months and I now can't walk more than 1mile / 6,000 steps a day without having to rest for 3/4 days after, another complication is if I do push it and do too much over a few

Atrial fibrillation after steroids
Has anyone experienced atrial fibrillation after starting steroids? 4 years ago I had steroid injections in both knees, and less than 48 hours later suddenly went into persistent rapid AF, having no previous history of it. I found some Dutch research that found new atrial fibrillation was more common

Minor surgery after a stent
Has anyone had experience of surgery post stent? What did you do about the daily asprin? I am due to have minor surgery on my eyelid and the Ocuplastic surgeon has written to my cardiologist . The cardiologist writes that although it was 19 months ago and I am doing well he doesn't recommend suspending
