Breathless Update

Had a conversation with a doctor this morning. He has said he thinks it's a viral infection so is giving me 5 days of steroids and said if they don't clear the problem to get back in touch. Thanks Everyone for your Advice and support. Brian

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been sleeping that much and trying to catch up on hot drinks and food at funny times. If the Steroids are not helping you. I would get back in touch with your doctor again. I know its frustrating. But it's your health and you deserve to be treated. Or perhaps ask to see the Respiratory nurse if you have one. I find they are better because they specialise in lung conditions and treat them every day. I think we are all at different stages with our breathing and lung capacities. Hope your day goes well and and you keep safe and warm. Brian

Yes definitely. I have only been with the surgery 5 months since moving and they are very polite and helpful. I was told by receptionist at 9 o clock I would receive a call by midday and it came 5 minutes later so definitely can't complain. Hope your day goes well and keep warm. Brian

You have done well to get registered there. Makes all the difference to have good medical support.

Yes we only have 2 surgeries in our town locally and I picked this because of more parking. Brian

Hello Brian. I'm really sorry to read you are unwell. My sister seems to have this at the moment and my other sister says there is a lot of this going round. 😔 Please take it easy and rest. I hope you feel better very soon. xx ❤️

Thanks Cas. I have been doing so well for 3 years. And the way I really struggled to get my breath was frightening and the 1st time I have experienced that. Just on the 2nd day of Steroids and the cough doesn't seem so bad. Hope your keeping well. Brian

Once the steroids kick in I hope you pick up quickly Brian. I must admit to feeling pretty good when on these, shame we cant have something like this with no side effects x

Yes I have just taken my 2nd day of the Steroids this Sunday morning and no side effects at present I have been sleeping more. But I have heard a lot of people who have not been too well saying they are sleeping more as well. Hope you have a relaxing day and supposed to be getting milder this week now. I have my Aunts Funeral to go to Thursday. So just hope I am well enough to go to it. Brian

Yes I hope so too. But I won't be going to the wake in a crowded room afterwards. Its a burial so not so bad outside. Thanks for your replies and hope your day goes well. Brian
