As some of you know I recently had a bad chest infection which after two weeks of antibiotics and steroids seems to have gone (clear mucus no colour).
Feeling very weak and breathless, I also have copd, I read somewhere that it can take weeks to recover from a chest infection does anyone have experience of this and how long did it take you to recover

Recovery is so gradual that it's hard to know when you're quite better. I've had it take a couple of months in the past. It's important to take things easy, not to overdo it. Good to know that your chest infection has gone at last. xxx
Hi the older I get the longer it takes to recover mentally and physically depending what the problem was. It can take a good few weeks sometimes a wee bit longer.
Hi Philip I have had many chest infections, one time after returning home from a short stay in hospital the district nurse visited and told me it would take about 6 weeks to recover, and sure enough she right.Kind regards Andy
