Not a UTI
Thinking I had picked up a UTI (strange feeling in bladder area and frequent feeling of needing to urinate) I requested a urine test, which was done. The triage nurse at my surgery informed me that although it showed no infection there were in fact microscopic traces of blood in there, (which would be

Rt3 - clarification
Hey all, I've been doing a fair bit of reading and I see that the stance here is that rt3 is useless. Maybe this will help someone. A cell will have a receptor for T3 and RT3 can bind to it weakly (thanks Helvella, I have corrected it). When you take too much T4 or you don't convert well, your protective

T3 and arrhythmia
I've been on levo for 25 years. A few years ago I found I have mitral and tricuspid regurgitation ,sinus tachycardia, and some PACs. I asked an internist if I could take t3 and he said no. But I can't tolerate the fatigue anymore. Is it safe to take t3 when having arrhythmia?

Hi Iv been prescribed T3 10mcg by the endo and my GP was happy to agree and iv been taking it along side my levo for 5 years no issues , iv recently moved and had to change GP guess what , they are querying if I need T3 as its not cost effective ? I guessed there would be a problem as its expensive

Fighting for corrections is so hard.
I am coming up on the one year of my wife's passing. On this day last year, she was sitting in her hospital bed eating frozen fruit. She was at 99% Sat with 1l of O2, and the plan was to turn it off in the morning. LFT's bang on Normal. Indirect Billi is still high, direct normal. Albumin low Plat low

I developed strange heavy lower leg sensation in 10/23; always been very healthy active 54 year old female. This issue coincided with a lower back flare up after playing pickle ball. MRI revealed a small disc bulge at L4-5 but no one was sure if these symptoms were related. I also got brain MRI

Medication and dosing
I take my 75mcg of levothyroxine at bedtime and T3 2.5 mcg at midday and 2.5 at 4pm. So I know I miss my bedtime levothyroxine until after the test but when should I take my 4pm T3? Please and thank you. 🥰

Thyroxine & Gaviscon
Hi just a quick question. I'm prescribed Gaviscon 4 times a day after meals & at night. My Thyroxine dose was always taken in the morning for 30 years then asked to change to bed time in 2022. Just realised that I also take Gaviscon last thing at night too. Any suggestions as if I omit it I get indigestion

Hello all
I have just been diagnosed with a “(since 2014)” added. I’m hoping to find some helpful tips and ideas from you all going forward. It will be lovely to be able to get advice from those that have already been there. I feel like I’ve been told yes it’s sub-clinical, here’s some thyroxine, now off you go

Need recommendations for herbal supplements.
I'm 67 and have had anxiety since menopause. I don't do hrt and haven't taken natural supplements. My anxiety comes and goes and is exacerbated by histamine in pollen season and possibly low oestrogen ongoing. Constantly light headed and sob intermittently and can't make arrangements in advance as each

Update on unexpected cholesterol rise.
18 days ago I posted that id had an unexpected rise in my cholesterol level, despite no change to diet etc. However I did change to taking my atorvastatin in the morning rather than night time, due to concern it was causing insomnia. Well I started taking it at night again, and now my cholesterol is

He declined saying bmi wasn’t high enough and sent me for full bloods and discovered my thyroid was overactive (38 with normal range being 12
