Hey everyone, So I had unprotected sex around first week of march. A few days later I got my period, but my period was much lighter than normal. I didn't think anything of it.

But ever since period has finished I've got lower abdomen pain, back ache, my breasts seems to look fuller, my smelling sense was heightened for a few days too

These all feel like pregnancy symptoms, I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it came back negative. My period is due 4th April I'm hoping it doesn't arrive because I do want to be pregnant. But I feel like I'm getting my hopes up. Has anyone else ever been pregnant even after having a period?

I’ve been pregnant after experiencing what I thought was a period, which was very very light.

Depends how many days after this spotting occurred you tested negative? If it was longer than 2 weeks after spotting I wouldn’t get hopes up of being pregnant. Our bodies are not always the same every month.

When I was trying to get pregnant which took years there were 2 months(not in a row) where my period just didn’t arrive atal and came the following month as normal.. might not of ovulated on those months who knows..

Hey I've normally always been regular with my periods. I'm bleeding again today but I haven't filled a pad which isn't normal for me. I'm really confused as I've been aching in the lower tummy area since what I thought was my period. I tested a few days after the bleeding stopped. And haven't tested since.

But I don't think I'm pregnant because I'm bleeding again and I don't think it's spotting. But thanks for replying it's good to know that sometimes even after having what we think is a period you can still be pregnant

Take another test see what comes up. Maybe speak to doctor. Not to worry you atal my friend had eptopic pregnancy and she did test positive on test but was spotting alot.. just to rule out x

Thanks I've thought about that I was thinking could it be ectopic because of the intense pain I've felt the past few weeks.

I'll take a test tommorow morning and will speak to my gp too x

Hi Iam pregnant with my second baby.first pregnancy i had really bad nausea and vomiting before getting a positive test and missed period.So, i knew this is something different so i was sure im pregnant.A day before my period date test came positive.

this time is totally different. few months ago i started gaining lot of weight around 10kg increased rapidly. also my period started getting shorter.from 5-7 days reduced to 2-3 days. i told my gp, they did blood test. hormones were fine iron was very low.so they gave medicine for that. In Feb i missed my period and did pregnancy test came negative.On 3rd day of mp i used a different brand test it came positive. now according to my cycle im 9 weeks pregnant but my belly looks and feels like 7-8 months. I hv no nausea or vomiting but im super tired all day and sleep most of the time. Im waiting for the scan desperately as I am not sure how many months im actually pregnant.

You can try a different test too and all the best for your results.keep us updated!

Hey thanks for getting back to me and congratulations on your second pregnancy. Even though the whole situation sounds so crazy in a good way. Please keep me updated once you have your scan I'm so eager to know how many months you are too.

Its surprising that the tests missed this. I'm using clearblue is there a brand you would recommend. I think when I initially tested I tested too early, they say atleast 21 days after having sex. I think I'll test tommorow morning.

And like you're saying I feel like my tummy has gotten bigger over just the past few weeks and my breasts. Plus I'm still getting the back pain and lower abdomen pain similar to period pain. I'll use the clearblue one unless you recommend a different brand fingers crossed it comes back positive. X

I will recommend first vue from poundland. Make sure you take the pregnancy test not the ovulation kit. boxes are almost same. The one i used before first vue never came positive was from ebay. none of those tests worked. first vue is best.

Hi just a quick update, today i had first scan at 12 weeks. im been told they cant see the fetus.they booked another scan for next week. i hope everything is ok as i do not hv any bleeding or cramping as miscarriage. did the test, hcg level is high result was very strong positive line. not sure whats gonna happen. ...a bit stressed and scared too

Hi lovely, I've been thinking about you since you replied to my message, I didn't want to come across as nosey so I didn't message.

I'm sorry to hear that, I pray everything is ok. My first ever scan they couldn't see baby so they made me turn on my side, stand up, jump and drink water and still they found it hard. They made me wait alittle and tried again and just about got a glimpse, I'm chubby so I think that didn't help at all. Don't worry yourself too much, I hope your next scan you get to see the baby.

Are you experiencing any symptoms at all? And did they carry out a pregnancy test?

Thankyou for your kind words dear. I still have pregnancy symptoms, tiredness, hungry etc.. i did test at home, its strongly positive. i am going for a private scan as well tomorrow. lets see if they can find the fetal pole. can't explain how stressed and upset I am. can't wait till next week scan so decided to check privately. i am also chubby this time. In last pregnancy i was 50kg and now 67..lol , i guess that may make the viability difficult..i still have hope until doctors give a final result.

Hi i had a private scan today (abdominal). same view came up. they offered TVS but i refused as they didnt hv any female staff for that. they confirmed fetus is not grown in this timeline, can be ectopic or early miscarriage. i should follow hospital scans onwards. cant wait for next week now. i hv already packed up my bags for emergency situation.

In so sorry to hear that. My thoughts and prayers are with you. XHave you had any pain anywhere or bleeding at all? Do go to next week appointment and yes look out for any symptoms and get medical treatment asap.

With ectopic I think they can do tests to confirm that. Mention this at your next scan, they should be able ti check you over properly to see what's going on xx
