Do I need to go back on Thyroxine

Sorry guys. I had to end up posting my full annual check up results tagged onto yesterday's post because I 'lost' Red Apple's link . Have found Red Apple's link now that I've posted (typical). Would appreciate anyone's advice. I also posted the results right side up, they ended up coming out on their side. If you need me to re-post the results on here again, please let me know. Thanks.

The only thing thyroid related on those results is a TSH of 4.6. But that's enough to tell you that yes, you really do need to go back on thyroixine - or some other form of thyroid hormone replacement.

Thank you for your prompt reply greygoose. I am seriously considering having a Blue Horizon Premium Gold test done. At least I would have something to fight back with as I am sure I will get fobbed off. What should my ideal reading be?

Ideal reading of TSH? 1 or under. Over 2 shows that the thyroid is struggling. And over 3 is hypo.

It would be good to do the BH test so that you know your FT4/3 levels, which do not always correspond to the TSH level. TSH can be a very poor indicator of thyroid status.

There are some comments there regarding vitamins awaiting your reply.

With a TSH of over 4 I would say you need to restart Levo.

What are your latest vitamin results and what supplements do you take?

Thanks for your reply Jaydee. I did mention what supplements in my various posts yesterday, namely vitamin D 5,000iu, vitamin E 800iu which I have taken for years and Magnesium 250mg

Most of us need a B complex but wait until you've done full vitamin testing - ferritin, folate, B12 & D3 before starting anything new.
