Thank you....though " Hypothyroidism of the muscle" is an odd term....surely....the cells in the muscle.

Yes does seem a strange term. I suspect it is because we have cells everywhere and in abundance in muscle. I might have named it a bit different :)

Cellular hypothyroidism is the correct term.

My mind is being blown away by what I am reading at the moment. Could also explain why my gallbladder, gallstones, toxic bile sludge went away as soon as I went on T3. Here is a good article DippyDame palomahealth.com/learn/cell...

Yes....I'm now convinced, after much reading, that my many symptoms/ illnesses right from childhood all came from low ( cellular) T3.

I also think it's something I've inherited from my maternal family

I've just posted the article by Mark Doyle....along with another T3 rant!!

Thank you for the palomahealth link

Happy digging!!

Just going to find what you posted DippyDame. Like you, it would explain a lot of mine too, and from childhood. I was reading we inherit all our mitochondria and such from our maternal side.

Hi Katherine1234, thank you very much for posting these articles. I was wondering if you have ever done the Organic Acids test which Marek Doyle claims will test for cellular hypothyroidism?

Katherine1234 profile image
Katherine1234 in reply toCarrie234

I have not had that done Carrie not sure if you can get that test in the UK

Thank you, much appreciated. I had a look and there is the organic acids test available now in the UK, I've no idea if it's good though.

I missed this. It’s excellent. Thanks to Carrie234 for raising the post again too, allowing me to see it.

So very annoying that we won’t likely see this happening mainstream for the foreseeable future. Still it’s very useful information for anyone considering self medication due to health services remaining entirely useless re: the issue of T3.
