Thyroiditis of Unknown Origin - Part 2 - increasing ABs, Iron?
The Endocrinologist I saw thought it wasn’t autoimmune as TPO 115, and that my iron status may have something to do with the
thyroiditis
- chicken or egg query. Any ideas? Recent ferritin below (my history has been falling/recurrent iron deficiency), so definitely something going on with my body!

Could I be B12 deficient?
I've been recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
, but my thyroid levels are in the normal range and it recently went from being overactive and now back to normal again.

Any suggestions for how to get further answers to these health problems?
I have Hashimotos
thyroiditis
. I have been on levothyroxine 50mcg since diagnosis three years ago. I have gained three stone in weight, I am constantly fatigued, have sleep problems, IBS and the pain in my arms which I have also had since before diagnosis have never diminished.

T3 levels 4.4
I was given a b12 injection at the hospital after seeing 5 Doctors and only one of them had knowledge of Pernicious Anaemia and neurological problems and Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
. He sent me for an MRI scan to see if I had any damage to the myelin sheath on my spine and luckily I haven't.

Question about iron levels?
Hi I am new here, not new to having Hashimoto’s
Thyroiditis
(hypothyroidism) for around 15 years. Recently, I was sent to a hematologist because my iron levels were so low. Practically non existent. I was put on iv iron right away.

Diagnostic tests
I also have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
. My GP says she thinks I don't have PA and that it's having a raised MCV which is the real worry.

Further bloods advice please?
She felt I had adrenal fatigue, possible
thyroiditis
or it could be Hashimotos ‘trying to get hold’. I’ve just been referred to a persistent physical symptoms team and I suspect they’ll diagnose ME. Awaiting appointment with neurologist but endo felt this would come up with nothing.

What are the next steps after thyroiditis diagnosis?
I have a CT scan this week to confirm, but the antibody levels which are "strongly positive" indicate
thyroiditis
according to the consultant. I am already on 100mcg a day so will it be increased?

Any cycle buddies out there?
My hubby and I have waited a year for this cycle because after our FET last year my thyroid went bonkers and I was diagnosed with Silent Autoimmune
Thyroiditis
. So I was excited to finally start our injections!

Advice about Mum's Thyroid
I have told them that she will have Hashimotos's
Thyroiditis
the same as me and did they really need to do that if she was getting distressed. I have got thyroid antibodies and we have got a family history of autoimmune thyroid.

Still so very confused
Suggested adrenal fatigue, probable ME, possible
thyroiditis
. Advised my GP to check receptor antibodies and female hormones with thyroid panel every 3 months. Advised on diet and supplements and stress relief/pacing etc. GP dismissed receptor test so I have arranged this privately.

Thyroid scan
So, in 2 months I had a blood test done, saw a different consultant who asked all the right questions, did a physical examination of my thyroid, said he thought my thyroid was growing backwards and pressing on my trachea, mentioned nodules and biopsies, and confirmed I had auto immune
thyroiditis
.

Can’t test until 7pm
I’ve been on thyroxine for 2 months, just starter dose, but GP concerned I’m having the
thyroiditis
symptoms again (I’ve got a lot of pain in my thyroid & feeling awful). Endocrine surgeons said that I could get it again & swing into thyrotoxicosis again. Whatever it is, I feel effing horrendous.

Opinions on Blood Test Results
Still waiting on FT3. 27 y/o female and currently on 100mcg Levothyroxine (auto immune
thyroiditis
). Diet is completely free of dairy and gluten but other than that it's balanced, I am relatively active and my BMI is healthy.
