Hashimotos... what's the difference?
Well, I've just been on the phone with a new Doctor who has just told me that I should have been told 7years ago that I actually have Hashimotos
thyroiditis
. Although I've heard of this, I don't know much about it. Is this better news? Or worse? All I know is that it is an auto immune disease...

Hypothyroid after covid - mystery?!
I came off it 2 wks later as by chance got another gp who said he felt I shd have had 2 TSH levels 6 wks apart to see if
thyroiditis
before starting levo. He said 15mcg wld not normally be taht effective. I then checked bloods a month later which had perfect levels.

Thyroid scan
I was told my thyroid is small for my age it was scanned 10 years ago and all it showed was
thyroiditis
. My report says it appears small with irregular in outline and heterogeneous with numerous ill-defined hypoechoic nodules. It also says it demonstrates reduced vascularity on colour doppler.

Is is Subacute Thyroiditis or Thyroid cancer?
He said that this could be
Thyroiditis
but unusual for only a part of thyroid to be affected rather then entire right part, but not impossible.

It was 2 before. Before that I was 0.11.So they reduced thyroxine now I am hypo.Had CV19 a year ago.Is this new hypothyroid level due to a cytokine storm which occurs with
thyroiditis
I believe and with COVID in some cases.

Post partum thyroiditis. Help with blood test please.
15 months PPT and 16 weeks without levo (29th January 2021 readings). When should I have my next blood tests or would you guys say I've beat this and no need for more testing? I've had 4 endos. 1 diagnosed me with graves as in started in October 2019 being overactive. Within 2 months it went underactive

History of iodine, cretinism, hypo etc
Another 50 years later, autoimmune
thyroiditis
was ascertained as the most frequent cause of hypothyroidism (in areas with no iodine deficiency).

Cortizol and Hasimoto.
''Examinations confirm the presence of Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
, without it appearing to require thyroxine treatment.. I am worried about the levels of cortisol, which if taken in the morning before 09:00 is low.

Thyroglobulin levels & TgAB
Was a mild
thyroiditis
. My thyroid levels have since returned to within range on their own. At the time my TgAB went high, 115 (0-115) first test then 235 (0-115) after the thyroid was coming back into range. TRAB and TPO were negative.

Is free T4 lab necessary?
Hello all, I am being treated for Hashimoto
thyroiditis
. I m only on T3 therapy. My body doesn’t convert T4 at all. My Doctor just died from Complications due to COVID and the NP in the office treating me. My TSH was 0.9 which is good, and my FT4 was 0.02.(0.8-1.7).
