Welcome to the forum

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Do you always get same brand

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Please add most recent results and ranges

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.

Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

Really just vitamin d3 2000IUAnd a daily multiple vitamin that’s pretty much it and my probiotic but that has nothing do with this

I get this sometimes. Last time it lasted around 3 weeks and then disappeared overnight. I have accepted that for me it must be part of having hashi’s and maybe it’s when my levels go a bit haywire.

All the time. Sometimes the glands and salivary glands swell up as well. It's horrible but it comes and goes. I tend to take ibuprofen and paracetamol. I honestly don't know if it just means there's an escalation in my hashis or what. At one point I suspected Sjorgren's but the anti-Ro, anti-La and Ana tests I did came back negative so 🤷🏿‍♀️

I know and I try to tell them the research that I have done in my own and they are like no no that doesn’t cause that I’m like whatever they don’t understand but we just have to educate ourselves When your throat hurts does it feel like your tonsil

Nothing simple about Hashis. I did have jaw, ear and neck ache, I have to say Vit D and K2 seems to have calmed that one down. Best wishes.

Thanks fir the response I am taking the vitamin D I will try the k2 and see if it helps The pain that you had in the ear was it like burning and itching ?

The K2 is to make sure Vitamin D works properly. Pain in ears was earache type, neuralgia type pain with sore teeth. I have Hashimoto's so symptoms all over the place. Burning and itching sounds like allergy response......you need to take an antihistamine to calm it down. best wishes.

Crysalynn, is there any skin rash with the burning and itching? That would be Hashis. Also enflamed nerves can cause that type of pain....possible throat infection. For my pain, i use a couple of antihistamine if I think it's a reaction or ibrobrufen lysine (used for migraines).
