Not having much luck with Endos, 1 month after surgery was put on 20mcg of Liothyronine and 150 mg levothyroxine as the endo said i was unable to convert T4. about 4 months ago a new endo took me off the T3 and reduced the T4 to 125mg. I did try telling him i felt very ill but he did not want to listen

Hello new to this forum
Following another relapse of the Graves, I had a total
Thyroidectomy
on March 1st. Now take Levothyroxine 125. This seems to be coincided with a return Colitis symptoms. I have no appetite, feel bloated and full without any food. I'm also getting pain under my left ribs and into my side.

Pleased with my Endo regarding my Graves
My endo called me the other evening and I was really impressed as she knows that I am not keen on rai or a Total
Thyroidectomy
. She listened to what i had to say and at the end of the conversation she asked me how I would want to proceed .

Total thyroidectomy
I have no thyroid, my TSH is low and my T4 high. They have just reduced my levothyroxine, they say I have hyperthyroidism but I don't have any symptoms to suggest that. I feel really well. I'm worried I will land up being hypo and gain weight. As it is I have been struggling to lose weight. Should I

Can't process stress since thyroidectomy
When stressful situations arise in my life (just basic things like having to do extra things out my routine ie extra work etc), mentally I can be OK and rational, but since my
thyroidectomy
, physically it's like I can't process stress. I get insomnia and heart palpitations and feel all jittery.

A new recruit???
I have a 15 year history of thyroid symptoms which culminated in having a near total
thyroidectomy
8 years ago. I take Levothyroxine daily and also I have Vit D deficiency and take co calciferol 800iu. Having read so much about PA I am starting to wonder if I too may be B12 deficient.

Levo dosage after total thyroidectomy
I was wondering how much Levothyroxine you are taking daily after your total
thyroidectomy
. I've been thyroidless since October 2016 (nearly 6 months) and I can't seem to get my Levothyroxine dosage right.

GP scared me. Help understand results please.
Hi all, Following a total
thyroidectomy
5 months ago, I'm still struggling to reach the right dosage of medication and optimum health. Maybe I'm being too optimistic about optimum health without a thyroid.

Concerned about how to act
Following total
thyroidectomy
I have had radioactive iodine injection today to see if the cancer may have spread. I have another injection tomorrow followed by scans on Wed and Thurs. I have shut myself away from family and pets but I'm not too sure how long I need to be isolated.

Massive reduction in thyroxine dose
I have been on thyroxine since total
thyroidectomy
3 years ago. I am usually on 100mcg but whenever I go on a diet and start to lose weight, my blood test suggests (and GP orders) a reduction to 75mcg. At which point the weight loss stops and reverses.

Quick recurrence, starting chemo regimen 2
I have also had 10 external beam radiation treatments to my pelvic bone and a total
thyroidectomy
since last April. The thyroid cancer was discovered during the CT scan that diagnosed the ovarian cancer as a lytic lesion in my pelvis.

What is thyrotoxic myopathy... just wondering?
Had partial
thyroidectomy
in 1980 (had a 4 nodule goitre and was told post operation i had papillary carcinoadenoma). No pre op scan in those days... not even since. Was put on thyroxine and it appears i did "fairly well" for quite a while.

Still so tired!
My scar hasn't healed as well as I expected (they performed the 2nd op using the same scar line from my partial
thyroidectomy
) it's red and quite lumpy. I go for more bloods on monday as they've increased my dose to 100mg and want to check my progress. I just want to feel better...

Anyone with scleroderma have this?
Since then I have had a total
thyroidectomy
, I now have lichen sclerosus, fibromyalgia, severe urinary strictures and interstitial cystitis and am under investigation for my heart as I have been having arrythmias, and also gastro problems and am having a colonoscopy. So not an easy time.
