Graves' Disease and heart spasms?
I was on block and replace and then came off but it came back so now I am just on carbimazole with a total
thyroidectomy
planned for next year, after my wedding. I have just switched from 10mg to 5mg (Carbimazole) daily within the past week and I've really felt it.

Anxiety?
I had a total
thyroidectomy
10 years ago due to thyroid cancer. I have been taking 1000mg of levothyroxine for the last 8 years. 3 months ago my endocrinologist reduced my dosage to 800mg per week as she said my level was too high .

Depression after total thyroidectomy
Hi I'm 47 and I had a TT 6 wks ago due to a large multi nodular goiter. No previous thyroid problems. Had my levels checked 2 wks after op and they were fine apparently. Consultant told me I should be fine and back at work after 2 wks. I still haven't gone back to work yet as I'm so unmotivated and depressed

TSH suppressed, but feeling really well, Docs threatening to reduce my doses!
I am new to this forum, and have been hypo since 2005 following total
thyroidectomy
for Graves. I have been feeling really well recently, since reintroducing T3 (had to change GP). Currently taking 200mcg levothyroxine, and 10mcg t3 in a divided dose.

Total
thyroidectomy
10yrs - on Levo 150mcg until I had a low back in April. Doc put me on anti depressants which I want to stop. I increased my dose of Levo to 200mcg as I feel unable to function and can't see well when I try a lesser dose. I have now just started vit D, B12 and magnesium.

Any feedback on Doctors: Dr Willis, Dr Sharma or any others?
I have joined for a dear friend (who has no internet access) who has had a
thyroidectomy
, has papillary cancer (on the laryngeal nerve) and is struggling with the amount of T4/T3 needed to suppress TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.

Hello
Following
thyroidectomy
as a child I immediately developed hypoparathyroidism. Now I’m post- menopausal and calcium drops from time to time. I’m always chronically low but now 1.7. I have a lot of difficulty taking calcium supplements due to stomach upset.

No thyroid and Natural Dessicated Thyroid: Dr Willis, Dr Sharma or any other Doctors that you recommend?
She has had a
thyroidectomy
and is not tolerating T4 or T3 and is feeling so unwell and struggling. She is very interested in going onto NDT of some sort, but feels very daunted at the prospect of picking her way through this process/transition.

I have my sympathetic T3 prescriber Endocrinologist soon any advice please,
I have had part
thyroidectomy
over 25 yrs ago and i did have iodine before the op.. I also have a few in family that have thyroid problems so I think I have the right criteria for getting trial of T3 .. it appears I have not got Hashmitos as no anti bodies !

Thyroid levels, anyone with numbers this high?
Hi there, I had a total
thyroidectomy
in April 2016. I had been on 130 MG of Nature Throid. The last time my TSH was checked, it was 108. Does anyone else have numbers like this? People ask me how I am even functioning, when their thyroid levels have been around 10 and they could barely function.

Thyroid Function Test
I had a full
thyroidectomy
in 1985. Thyroid Register doesn't exist any more but when it did I was on 150mcg Thyroxine. It has now been dropped to 75mcg! Serum Free T4 level is 20 pmol/L, Serum TSH level is 2.19 mU/L.

More bl**dy questions
Currently on NDT, total
thyroidectomy
, hashimotos. went from 150 T4 to 2 grains NDT. Couple of weeks was feeling tired in the afternoon so in my infinite wisdom added about 7mcg of T3 taken in the afternoon. Have to say I had a surge of energy.
