Experiences in East Kent?
Hi all,Has anyone had experience of being referred for IVF on the NHS in Kent? I'm wanting to get a bit of a picture in my head of time frames. We're under the subfertility clinic at the moment (EKHUFT) and have the next appointment in a few weeks following a bunch of tests - I expect we'll be referred

stress/upset at waiting times
Hi All, We are still waiting to start our treatment after being referred for ICSI in August this year. We had a further consult today and have decided to go down the donor route due to male factor infertility ( severely low count ). We have been told that we could be looking up to a 12 month wait and

Donor Egg Babies
So…. After 5 rounds of IVF, 4 transfers, 3 positives, 2 miscarriages & 1 beautiful daughter, I have decided donor eggs in order to have another baby & a sibling for my daughter. Has anybody here used donor eggs & husbands sperm? Did you find it difficult? My husband is yet to buy in to the idea

Sensitive post: Update: Baby boy born August 2023. 💙
Hi everyone. Just a wee update that i forgot to do. Might give someone some hope. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in August 23, 3rd round of ivf, only 1 viable embroyo left after 9 eggs collected. Grade C embroyo and it worked, (i now take little regard to the grading of embroyos) as i fully expected

IVF - how many appointments?
We've had NHS funding approved for IVF and I have another appointment booked with the subfertility clinic in a few weeks where I expect the outcome will be a referral for IVF. We were told at the last appointment that it usually takes about 2 months for the referral to go through, so we're likely looking

Failed ivf cycle first try
I am currently experiencing the incredible pain of a failed IVF cycle. I’m 42, they transferred two embryos but no luck. I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips for getting over this? The worst part is at night where I just lie awake thinking about it and crying - and then in the day I’m so

IVF & work
Hi everyone, Just wondered if anyone has any advice on how to deal with IVF/ongoing hospital appointments and work? I recently started a new job and have received a promotion which is due to start in January. I've had to take time out nearly every week for the last 3 months for various scans & tests

First cycle & ovulation before egg collection!
Hello! This is my first post on here, and having just (almost) completed my first IVF cycle yesterday, I wanted to find out if anyone else has got to the day of extraction to be told they have already ovulated? I was taken into the room for extraction but told they wanted to scan me first as they had

When to stop Cyclogest?!
Hi, I'm so confused and now anxious as my IVF Clinic told me after 12 weeks mark to ask my Midwife if I need to continue the Cyclogest. Asked my Midwife and she for unknown reasons was very rude about it and said it's nothing to do with the Midwives and they won't advise me on Cyclogest and that I should

Does anyone have any experience or advice about using donor eggs when you have already had children using your own eggs?
I have been incredibly lucky to have had 2 children using OI. After miscarrying my 3rd and having 2 failed cycles of IVF, I have to accept my eggs are no longer of good enough quality. Egg donation is not something I had considered before, but I’m struggling to come to terms with the fact that I’ll

Delayed 2nd period after failed cycle
Hi all. My first IVF cycle was unsuccessful and I am hoping to start my 2nd before xmas, which is looking unlikely. My period should have arrived today, but hasn't yet. I am normally like clockwork, so a bit worried and I have 1 more day before my clinics cut off date. How common is this? My clinic

Miscarriage after FET
It's been a very long journey. We have been trying for 2.5 years including 1 year of IVF. I have stage 4 endo, hypothyroidism and fibroids. I had 3 natural cycles resulting in 2 grade A embryos. First fet failed and second I lost at 5.5 weeks. I'm fed up, angry and lost. I thought this would be our baby
