Delayed 2nd period after failed cycle

Hi all.

My first IVF cycle was unsuccessful and I am hoping to start my 2nd before xmas, which is looking unlikely. My period should have arrived today, but hasn't yet. I am normally like clockwork, so a bit worried and I have 1 more day before my clinics cut off date.

How common is this? My clinic didn't warn me of this? Can anything be done? Also can you start your next IVF without getting your period - I am guessing not, but have read a few bits of research that say you can!

How long has it been since you stopped taking progesterone/estrogen? I’m in the 2ww of my first transfer so don’t know how long you can wait between each cycles etc. hopefully AF comes for you and you can try again before Xmas

It’s extremely common - can take up to 6-7 weeks for your period after your withdrawal bleed. I’ve done lots of cycles and some arrive like clockwork and others were up to 49 days. It’s very common.

I’m the same I’m still waiting for my period to come after failed fresh transfer in October I was really hoping to do the transfer in December 😞
