feeling guilty for breaking my no drinking
Ivf happening in January. I’ve been so good for months and months, no alcohol, fertility diet, supplements, yoga, accupuncture - the lot. It was husbands birthday and he organised a big get together with friends. We both got absolutely drunk, I’d kind of figured before hand there was absolutely no

IVF and exercise
I was just wondering if anyone had been given specific advice on exercise while having IVF. I feel like my doctor is a bit vague every time I ask . I’m 33 and usually exercise 3-5 times a week, either HIT or weight training and have done so for years ( a CrossFit style gym). I stopped for the egg retrieval

I was in two minds if to write this post as I know how difficult it is to read these updates if you are still struggling. and the fact that I am still in shock at a positive result. But I would also like to share a story of hope. So some of you will know my history, we had success on our second ICSI

Coffee and 2WW
Good morning all, I'm desperately craving a coffee this morning! My transfer was last Monday and I've been drinking herbal teas mostly since but really want a coffee!! I know the IVF clinic's advice is to minimize caffeine/ no caffeine during 2WW but I would love to know what everyone else is doing/

Post partum anxiety
Hey! I was just wondering if there’s anyone here that is also struggling with post natal anxiety and, for lack of a better word paranoia? I think i had terrible ptsd from all the ivf, which is starting to settle but i’ve just started to worry about things i didn’t see coming… protective mama bear

Cyclogest - 3 times a day?
Hi all - just having my first round of IVF and had my egg collection today; 8 mature eggs which isn’t a bad number I don’t think. As I’m waiting to hear whether any fertilised, they’ve told me to start taking the cyclogest 400mg pessaries 3 times a day. This sounded like a lot to me at the time, and

Progesterone levels
Hi all, I wondered if anyone out there knew much about progesterone levels? I had mine tested back in August which on day 20 were 31.8nmol/L. I've googled and anything over 30 suggests that you did ovulate with a mature egg but I was wondering if they were on the slightly lower side of normal? Or am

Hi all :) New to this. I have completed Mild IVF and out of 10 eggs.. managed to get x2 embryos. One 5BB and one 4BB. Due to hopefully have a FET next month (Jan 2024) Has anyone had sucessful pregnancy with either 4BB or 5BB embryo's? Both are frozen and we are looking to transfer one but not

13 days post embryo transfer- BFP but pain on lower right side???
hi guys! I’m super excited because we got our BFP after 6 rounds of IVF (we had two ectopic pregnancies where both fallopian tubes ruptured and were removed last year- 6 months apart). we had a failed fresh cycle earlier this year and just done a frozen one with a 5AA blastocyst. We tested Monday

Experiences in East Kent?
Hi all,Has anyone had experience of being referred for IVF on the NHS in Kent? I'm wanting to get a bit of a picture in my head of time frames. We're under the subfertility clinic at the moment (EKHUFT) and have the next appointment in a few weeks following a bunch of tests - I expect we'll be referred

stress/upset at waiting times
Hi All, We are still waiting to start our treatment after being referred for ICSI in August this year. We had a further consult today and have decided to go down the donor route due to male factor infertility ( severely low count ). We have been told that we could be looking up to a 12 month wait and

Donor Egg Babies
So…. After 5 rounds of IVF, 4 transfers, 3 positives, 2 miscarriages & 1 beautiful daughter, I have decided donor eggs in order to have another baby & a sibling for my daughter. Has anybody here used donor eggs & husbands sperm? Did you find it difficult? My husband is yet to buy in to the idea

Sensitive post: Update: Baby boy born August 2023. 💙
Hi everyone. Just a wee update that i forgot to do. Might give someone some hope. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in August 23, 3rd round of ivf, only 1 viable embroyo left after 9 eggs collected. Grade C embroyo and it worked, (i now take little regard to the grading of embroyos) as i fully expected

IVF - how many appointments?
We've had NHS funding approved for IVF and I have another appointment booked with the subfertility clinic in a few weeks where I expect the outcome will be a referral for IVF. We were told at the last appointment that it usually takes about 2 months for the referral to go through, so we're likely looking
