Eltroxin variations.
I was originally prescribed the 'old' Eltroxin when it was manufactured by Smith Kline I believe. Years ago my GP switched me on to levothyroxine which didn't really suit me. I asked to go back on Eltroxin but was told that it was the same under a different name and more expensive. I stayed on these

Now my brother in the US has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and we have suddenly realized

Purified thyroxine cost
Hi guys, I'm having to bite the bullet and go private to get purified thyroxine as the NHS have refused to prescribe this for me. I've had another week-long trial of thyroxine and it's completely wiped me out. I don't know what it is but I just can't tolerate it - even the so-called hypoallergenic

I thought my consultant would have referred me today but was shocked to find that she wouldnt get involved. I have seen 3 endos who of which were arrogant -and well the appointments did not go great. I cannot tolerate the bog standard Levothyroxine I even tried Eltroxin the purest brand. I was taking

Liquid Eltroxin
I have taken eltroxin for nearly 2 years and got on really well with it after having allergic reactions to other makes. The manufacturers are stopping producing this although a chemist has told me that I could get the liquid form of eltroxin on prescription but not prescribed normally as very expensive

Im back from seeing a private Endo, good results.
Hi everyone, I had consultation with a lovely endo, who was reccomended from a patient on here. she was lovely and listened carefully. I submitted all my results prior on seeing her and had another set to show on the day. she noticed my tsh is up one minute and down the next and suggested

CANNOT GET GOLDSHIELD ELTROXIN
I am having difficulties getting Goldshield Eltroxin. Have spoken to manufacturer - now called Mercury Pharma - and they tell me they have no date when normal service will be restored and it could be months!!! I am very, very concerned about this as felt so dreadful on the usual Thyroxine prescribed
