GP increases my dose above Endo's
Saw my GP today about flu. Endo had said soon as I get sick I must take antibiotics due to my Hasimoto's. Sore throat didn't look too bad to GP but when she saw my blood test result of TSH 5.27 she increased my Levo Eltroxin dosage from.100 to 125 mcg. I questioned this as Endo set 100 mcg as he was

Does hypothyroidism cause all of this?
I recently had a blood test done because I kept getting sick, and basically just felt ill constantly. I suspect I have had something since childhood, but I learned to live with it. My blood test showed a slightly raised TSH - 6,4. My doctor has put me on eltroxin and I have been taking it for about 2

Hi, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 8 months ago, although I suspect it has been undiagnosed for many, many years. About 2 yrs ago, I was so sick that I had to leave my job and haven't been able to work since. To be honest, I don't know when I will be able to work as I'm currently taking 50

Disaster app with endo
Hi all just letting you know how I got on today or the lack of it. The endo wasn't there so I saw a fella under him who told me my bloods were ok with a TSH of 22. I had a list if questions that he couldn't answer so he brought in the doctor who was covering for endo. Guess what she was a surgeon

Eltroxin verses Euthyrox
My wife been on eltroxin for excess of 15 years. Medical Aid recently changed meds to Euthyrox and since the change had severe papitations. After 4 months reverted back to Eltroxin and palps stopped. Went back on Euthyrox and palps returned. What could be the cause as both active ingredients the same

Thyroid-S
I have just ordered some Thyroid-S and would be grateful for some help in changing from Levothyroxine. At the moment and for many years I have been on 75mcg Levothyroxine and until the change from Goldshield Eltroxin I was doing well (apart from weight gain of 3 stone). Since change, and having tried

Help with Levo brands
Was diagnosed 3 years ago, and am getting awful side effects with the various brands of Levothyroxine. Eltroxin suited me best, Actavis/Almus was terrible, it virtually disabled me. Mercury Pharma also gives me lots of side effects. Have also tried MP Levo liquid but I have problems with that too.

Nightmare!!
Hi folks, I have been feeling unwell since coming off eltroxin and being put on Levothyroxin. Bloodtest results show a bottom of the range T£ and TSH and T$ are within range. I was on 225 mcg of Levo and believe that I have gone into RT3 symptoms. My doctor says that everything is in the normal range

Seriously need help in how to become an advocate in Ireland
I'm on Armour. You all may be interested to know that Actavis have doubled the cost of Armour here in Ireland. I have had to apply to the medical hardship scheme to continue to get it on their version of the NHS. The Doctor on the Hardship scheme (not my GP) has allowed it for 3 months only because they
