Hi everyone, I had consultation with a lovely endo, who was reccomended from a patient on here.
she was lovely and listened carefully.
I submitted all my results prior on seeing her and had another set to show on the day.
she noticed my tsh is up one minute and down the next and suggested a trial of t3 as with some of you know I was on 25cg eltroxin, that made my symptoms worse.
I am not sure what my t3 is at present but my tsh was above normal. She pointed out that my ferratin was low and this will be adding to my symptoms or even causing my problems.
food needs to be looked at and eliminated especially wheat gluten and so on.
all in all great outcome, however I am still a bit concerned with my low calcium and elevated pottassium, which we didnt really discuss, should i be concerned or should I ignore? I dont think I sent results through to her and I have asked gp if my calcium is normal know, ummm no answer.
I am slowly unravelling my issues, thanks to peeps on here, just a few more steps as I need to establish why i am still have sporadic intermittant stabbing heads pains, where I cant even comb my hair, also have swelling over left clavicle, not endo related, there is no lump but vey painful any thoughts?
very positive outcome, now for the next avenue. xxxx I will be returning to to see her as I was well impresssed indeed. what a lovely lady

re calcium and potassium. Is it corrected caclcum? Are you on D? Do you drink plenty? Important as if not it can make these high. What is your sodium, these + magnesium all electrolyte. They react together. If potassium high you must not take any magnesium except in food. Also might be worth cutting out foods that contain high Potassium. What is your GFR? That is a the best guide to kidney function. high Ok if GFR above say 60 ( not range)Low Potassium more range as can cause cardiac arrests.. My calcium is high, only the corrected matters. There is not a lot can be done ,unless sky high. Unless on vit D, which has to be stopped. The endo is looking after my alcium but mainly I just have re tests every 1 month. not a lot of options for treatment ,except stopping D even if D Osteomalacia, very low, like mine.It has to be very high before any other treatment is considered. It can also be related to parathyroid. The test she initially has for that, after several over range readings, is 3 blood tests, must be done together, AM. Vit D, corrected calcium and PTH. If all high or 2 high and D high for you You could ask the GP for those before follow up consultation. Then if needed she will request nuclear scans, CT and ultra sound of the thyroid. I expect she is , at this time, just sorting out the thyroid as then it may be that all will settle. She would have noticed, she does not seem to miss anything. Above range corrected calcium can be stones, they are calcium, chicken and egg. I have a lot of stones kidneys ,liver but only since Gall bladder went horrific , last summer has my Calcium been terrible. You will soon know if it is gall stones, normally surgery but I am too ill, so have a very nasty thing called cholocystits too. if no surgery , in time. The pain for Gall bladder stone, eventually very obvious, very bad, often referred, shoulders , back etc, at that stage acute about an hour+ after meals.
Best wishes,
Jackie
Gall bladder disease auto immune ,so common with thyroid disease.
Thanks Jack's, my bone profile was abnormal, magnesium, normal, vitamin d now normal. My potassium was just above UK range, calcium was low. No I don't drink plenty of water only coffee,
Ph is very acid at 5, normal is 7,' I wonder if pains I'm having are related, these pains are more after muscle use, they are debilitating, my finger tips scream, like when you have a paper cut, it don't last, also have renal scarring, kidney calcifications and small bone spur back of neck. Go ignoring my questions. I bought some iron, expensive, multivitamin. If yo u have electrolytic issues, would this cause piercing random pains? Muscle a aches? And clicking bones, what I have discovered is when I tilt my head back. My neck spine and shoulder pain, dunno. I will get there just takes time, it's knowing what's wrong I. The fist instance. Thanks for your reply. Xxx
