Frustrated at my rate of progess-hypothyroid
Hello, I posted here a few weeks ago about “sub-clinical hypothyroidism” and the range of symptoms I was experiencing. Since then I have been put on 25mcg trial of Eltroxin to be reviewed with bloods in a few weeks. I’m on it just over three weeks. From around the 6th day I began to notice an improvement

My original question was hair loss ... posted blood tests below as requested
Ok had the appointment with my GP this morning to say that I wasnt happy about lowering the dose of Eltroxin from 1000 mcg to 75 mcg. I have been to see him so many times in the last few months since he became my new GP 6 months ago he must dread reading my name on his screen. I thought ok today

Vitamin D and Endocrinologist - I'm speechless!
I have been struggling with autoimmune thyroiditis for 6 years and am currently on 150mcg a day of Eltroxin. I was feeling so unwell that, in the end, I went to see a private endocrinologist. My vitamin D level is 29.7 (<30) - tested by doctor, and so the endo gave me 6 days of 50,000 iu Cholecalciferol

How much T3/T4?
I have fibromyalgia (and hashimotos) and am currently seeing a private endocrinologist. When I met him a couple of weeks ago he said to me (and wrote the same to my doctor) that he thought it would definitely be worth trying me on some T3. "Her T3 is in the lower part of the normal range and her T4

Getting the GP to listen/extra Eltroxin
I have been on 175 mcg T4 and 10 mcg of T3 for quite a few years now and moved to my present surgery three years ago. My GP there has been quite reluctant to keep me on this amount just because my TSH is 0.05 even though my T4 is within range, or at the top end of the range. Last year I came

ELTROXIN.......very bad reaction!
Just thought I'd give a quick update. Having been fabulously fine on ERFA, my GP persuaded me to give levothyroxine one more go. So being the compliant patient that I am, I agreed. So.........4 days ago I was put on ELTROXIN. 4 days later I am now riddled with the foulest, burning sensation in my

Shortage of Eltroxin 25mcgs - getting desperate !!
Once again I cannot find a pharmacy to supply my Eltroxin 25mcg - (now no problem with the 100s!!) has anyone any news on the shortage or know somewhere in Surrey that has them? I wrote a letter to my doctor stating I was unhappy with scoring 100s as they are not meant to be chopped up!! - no reply

Why am I now having to split T4 doses
Due to heart pounding/skipping issues I was taken off of T3 two weeks ago and am now on 75mcg's T4 but I am now having to split my T4 doses into three, taking 25mcg's at a time, for my body to be able to tolerate it. If I take it all at once my heart starts racing again. My pulse before taking just
