Info on questions you should ask when you first visit an Endo (I am hypothyroid)
I have an appointment with a Dr Lindsay at the western infirmary on 14/2 and was wondering if anyone could give me guidelines on the important questions to ask. I have been hypo for 12 years but never seen anyone in all this time apart from my GP and a doctor whom I was sent to to investigate headaches

I'm Confused!
I've was diagnosed 5 years ago as borderline hypothyroid because my TSH varies between 4.1 and the highest it's been is 8.35. My endocrinologist is one who sticks rigidly to the new NHS Guidelines "You haven't even got a thyroid problem unless your TSH is over 10" I have blogged on this site before and

Afterthe chnages (downward) in dosage due to latests guidelines for average people, I have developed a rash which is similar to a fungal rash GP treating as unrelated to changed eltroxin dose

Happy New Year everybody. I would very much appreciate some advice regarding my blood test results. I was diagnosed with hashimoto's nearly 12 years ago. I have never felt well taking Thyroxine. Had an adrenal issue about three years ago and after seeing Doc BDP started taking adrenal supplements

Unprofessional Irish G.P
So, I have Hashi's. I am on Eltroxin and it's not working for me. It's actually making me experience Hyper symptoms. I have been trying (gently) to get a prescription of Armour, just so I can try it. Well, yesterday, I saw my G.P. I asked him about Armour and also, I needed advice on whether to stop

Hypothyroid + Glaucoma
Hi My Endo has prescribed Eltroxin - as opposed to Levo and I have been taking it for approximately 6 months. I also have Gloaucoma and had a check up in September where the Consultant was concerned at how much the pressure had risen and the condition worsened. I had another appointment yesterday

Eltroxin
I went to pick my script up from the chemist yesterday, to find that my pre-ordered 'TEVA' brand had been given to another patient, I was told to come back today for an alternative. I found the TEVA' brand suited me better than Lloyds own brand,- or could this have been the 'placibo effect'. Back to
