Amlodipine and Pramipexole
Hi all. I've just been prescribed Amlodipine 1 x 5mg pd for high blood pressure by my Doc, but wondering how they will react with the Pramipexole 6 x 0.088mg pd. That I currently take for RLS? Any advice or experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Taking Levo at same time as other drugs??
Hi, I have had to start taking Amlodipine (for high blood pressure) and started to take it in the morning as I take my levo at night and didn't know if I could mix them. That didn't work so switched them around - even worse!! Is there any problem with taking them at the same time, does anyone know?

severe vitamin d deficiency
seems amlodipine calcium channel blockers trigger vitamin d deficiency. I had to come straight off them after a consultation with my dr. He's going to phone on Monday to advise what I need for lowering blood pressure instead. I can't have beta blockers because I get asthma. The worst pain i've ever felt

Are all my troubles connected? Heart, digestion & Amlodipine
I had a mitral valve replaced nearly 2 years ago and had various complications due to an allergy to Amiodrone (for reversing AF). One of the results was anaemia. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with a bile duct blockage (itchy all over and weird digestive system together with increased anaemia). The

My 90 year old mom had RLS during the month of June 2017 and she no longer has it.
Hi there, my mom developed RLS after her doctor added a third diabetes med so we assumed that was the culprit. We stopped the new med but the RLS continued. One doctor said her cholesterol med looks like the culprit so we stopped that too, but that didn’t help. Then she started having RLS during the

Amlodipine 10mg not enough
I have just been to my see my GP and my blood pressure is still to high. I take Amlodipine 10mg and my doctor is going to put me on more tablets to sort my high blood pressure out. I don't know if it's a guy thing to feel really worried as I don't really want more medication.

Hi, I was a member of the dilated cardiomyopathy forum at BHF. I signed up there 10 years ago when my mother was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and left bundle branch block. There used to be a thread called "how long?". I wanted to post this there, but here I am. So, my 65 year old mother suddenly

Calcium channel blockers - impact on T3 and T4
Came across this interesting article (abstract) which suggests, on the basis of rabbit studies, that calcium channel blockers (e.g. for high blood pressure) may interfere with levels of T3 and T4. http://www.scopemed.org/?mno=40603 I also note that the calcium channel blockers can inhibit uptake of
