My wife, aged about 56 years is a diabetic patient since 2006. Her weight is 62 kgs and height is 5 ft 10 inches. Looks bulky to some extent specially in lower part of body. She has high B.P., had high triglyceride level and arthritis in both knees.

Exercising in the form of walking is difficult for her. She takes normal bengali diet as low as possible.

She regularly takes amlodipine (5mg). Hydrchlorthiazide (25mg) in the morning, Metformin 500mg and glimepiride 1mg before breakfast and dinner and atorvastatin during lunch.

Despite these medications her Hb1Ac is increasing when tested 6 months apart. Her present reading is 8.2. Pl. suggest, what to do for lowering of Hb1Ac to required level. her last fasting sugar is 133 mg/dl.

Typical bengali diet means rice and fish. Right ?

The best solution is low carb diet. Lchf
