Amlodipine 5mg
Been on this dose for approximately 2 weeks now and I feel floored. Getting mild chest discomfort which was not there before and feeling anxious too. I also take 2.5mg Bisoprolol and 40mg Atorvastatin. I feel worse now than I did before I received my diagnosis. I know I need protecting but this can't

Stomach trouble with antibiotics
Hi all. Just had an embarrassing and traumatic incident where I couldn’t get to a toilet in time. Is it common to have diarrhoea with some of the meds we take? I’m on incruse, ventalin, prednisalone, losartan, amlodipine and clarithromycin. This thing just keeps on giving...

Blood pressure alternatives/supplements
Hello everyone, This is my first post but I have replied to others. I have high BP which stubbornly refuses to budge below a certain level. I take 10 mg of ramipril and 2.5mg of amlodipine. The amlodipine was originally at 10 mg but when the ramipril was increased, the amlodipine caused awful side

This is my first day of my new years resolution to find out more about AF - I was diagnosed during a routine check up in 2014 my blood pressure was so high it was off scale although I had no visible symptoms at all - since then I’ve had acardioversion which lasted for 6 weeks, and I take Bisoporol, Amlodipine

Levothyroxine and other medications
I've been prescribed Levothyroxine for approx. 10 years with no apparent side effects, however I take perindopril and amlodipine at the same time. My question is, should I be taking these medications separately, at different times? My new GP is I'm sorry to say absolutely useless in the communication

Hello I am new here.......
......so thought I would introduce myself. I have been taking Amlodipine 5mg since my late twenties for high blood pressure and am now 41. Since the summer the heart palpitations became more severe and the blood pressure was less controlled. My GP referred me for blood tests and a monitor and the outcome

Amlodipine for Raynaud's?
I was diagnosed with Raynaud's (cold hands) about 5 years ago, and my doctor put me on Nifedipine ER which has helped significantly. I just got a notice from my drug insurance provider that for next year they will no longer covers the cost of Nifedipine, and suggest Amlodipine Besylate instead. The

Hypertension medication
Hi everyone. First of all, here's wishing you all a happy Christmas. I had a 24 hour ambulatory BPM the other day and it seems my diastolic pressure is a shade too high, so my GP is prescribing amlodipine. It's another opportunity for side effects and I wondered if any of you might have experience that

Medication change and arrhythmia
Has anyone on this forum triggered an arrhythmia episode via a change in blood pressure medication? After my 2nd ablation for atrial tachycardia two weeks ago, my GP, doubled my blood pressure medication from 5 mg amlodipine daily to 5 mg twice daily for a total 10 mg daily. Reluctant to start immediately

Ace inhibitors and Hydroxy
Does anyone have experience of using ACE inhibitors alongside hydroxycarbamide and low dose aspirin? I have been taking Amlodipine to control blood pressure but it is losing its effectiveness and even doubling the dose doesn't stop the increase. I have been told that ACE inhibitors may be a better solution

New meds
Hi everyone. I have just started taking Amlodipine and I am struggling with the side effects of the drug! The flushes, heart palpitations and just a feeling of things not being normal! I am thinking of asking my dr to change this medicine to something less invasive. Does anyone have any good recommendations

Migraine management
I'm seventy and have had severe migraine all my life. I'm currently on my fifteenth cycle of Botox treatment and I also have a nerve stimulator. I mention these facts just to indicate that I've tried just about everything. There have been dozens of prophylactics over the years, from Amitriptyline to

Advice about chronic soreness.
Hey everyone. I have been quite active in the last four months. I landed a part time job as a Janitor with a company that decided to take a chance on me despite my multiple medical ailments. I was honest with the interviewer up front that I might not be able to perform the work but that I would give
